I have to say before anything else that the first one of these I received had a DOA soldering iron which did not heat at all so i sent it back and received a replacement which I am happy to say works fine. i did dock it 1 star for the DOA. I'm really quite happy with the kit for the little bit of money that it costs. It literally has everything a beginner needs to learn to solder and make electronics repairs. The soldering iron itself has a built in temperature control so you can dial it in to the right heat range for whatever size soldering job you have. There are a variety of tips in different sizes and shapes to accommodate most any soldering need too. The tips are quickly and easily changed if the iron is cooled down. The iron heats quickly and is great for tinning the ends of wires, making solid electrical connections , removing or installing components or other repairs. There is also a solder sucker which is pretty cheaply made but works well and even has the plunger to push the solder out so that it doesn't plug the nozzle. The kit also includes an iron holder to hold the iron while it is heated and there are two different types of solder, electrical tape, heat shrink tubing, wire, wire stripper/cutter, flux with brush, solder wick, prototype board, tweezers, small screwdrivers and probably a couple of other items I'm forgetting. You really can't go wrong with this kit at this price if you are a beginner or know a beginner at soldering!

This is a complete kit. I really like it, and there is everything that any hobbyist would require.
