Merrell Women's Encore Breeze 3 Slip-On Shoe

I am SO, SO glad I purchased these hiking shoes when they were on sale a year + ago. I live in the Raleigh, NC area, where there are plenty of hiking trails and parks all around, and I wanted a sturdier shoe for when I hit more areas with tree roots, more granite outcroppings, etc. These have been my go-to outdoor shoes for a while now. I have very wide feet, but these fit like a glove. They have been comfortable since the day I bought them. They have excellent arch support, and I can walk around in a park for hours with no foot pain. The pic shown is after a year + of consistent wear. I am now a hardcore Merrell fan and will most likely continue looking for another MOAB version with higher ankle support and/or waterproof for when we go out to the mountains.

Comfortable and durable

Last year I bought the encore vellum a size large (at the recommendation of a podiarst). They felt large but very comfortable. I found my regular size on sale at an amazing price and ordered a seond. It turned out to be a great idea because my puppy attacked hte first pair and ate one of the insoles :p I wore the other pair while waiting for new insoles from Merrell. Unfortunately insoles do not come in half sizes so it never felt quitr the same, still they were more comfortable, offered better arch support than anything else in my closet (I wear mostly Alegra and Jambu). I sitll have a difficult time believing that these are more comfortabler than Alegria! I love my Merrells. After a year of wearing them basically daily it is time to replace them. That is my one and only withhold. Merrells used to last forever. I have a pair of suede sneakers which I have had for close to 20 years! I live in Hawaii, and do not wear closed shoes often. I wore a pair of timberland pro clogs to my son's graduation 2 weeks ago, and still have blisters from them. The only shoes I can wear comfortably now are my Merrells. The style I bought last year is almost unobtainable, and very expensive, so I returned to the encore line looking for other ventilated clogs. I was thrilled to find the encore breeze in a great color at a great price. I got them a few minutes ago and they feel just like my old ones, except the sole (which is in shreds o my old shoes) is intact. I finds the sizing on these perfect. I have average to narrow feet. I have had to return so so many pair of shoes because I took sizing advice from one or another reviewer reviewers who I am guessing weighed a good deal more than I do but didn't mention that when complaining about size or width. I have no issue with sizing on these, and have had sigfnificant foot problems (including breaking one foot and the other ankle and consequently having swelling related to the breaks). I am now contemplating a second pair because i now know that I will be wearing these every day, and that puppy is just 1 year old last week and continues to attack my shoes.

Perfect shoes for walking or wearing daily. Wide width. I wear a wide width and normally have to get a larger size due to most manufactures wide width isn't wide enough. But for these, when they say wide, they mean it. Since I order a little larger to adjust for the width, the size is a little big but these are nice and comfortable. The sole is a little thin side on the inside so if you're going to wear these all the time you may want to put in an extra sole.

While these are comfortable they done fit well enough to stay on my feet well. They tend to slip off when I have my foot on the gas or im walking. I have adjusted them and its still hard to keep the straps in place. I wear them most when im the passenger princess and dont have to walk too far! I have wide feet and they fit well around my bunion.

Personally, they're for walking around the City. They're perfect for that! Great support and phenomenal comfortability! Look and feel great pretty much anytime of year! They keep your feet warm with proper socks in the Winter; they definitely breathe well in the Summer again with proper socks. Never a problem with grip or traction on slippery surfaces, other than ice. The price was MORE than reasonable. I've had them quite a while and wear them most days and they are holding up amazingly! I have flat feet and the support that they give you out of the box is pretty good but if you have the need for more support, they're very accomodating! Oh, I don't generally stick my feet in pools, ponds or large pot holes full of water, so I don't know how waterproof they are, but I do know that my feet remain dry in heavy rain downpours traversing the City! Great product!

The size 6.0 in this Navy Merrell Footwear is a tad larger than expected but with an added lighter shoe insert snugs them up for Summer. And the extra roominess means I can wear them with socks in Winter. Have worn these several times now with no complaint and intend to order many more pairs of these shoes in the future. Love them!!!!! UPDATE: This Encore Breeze 3 Slip-On Shoe in a size 6.0 M US, fits perfectly in this Silver Birch, my Denim Blue and Dark Tan pair as well. These are my "go-to" shoes. With an EVA foam removable comfort foot bed, I am assured of good solid support and comfort. No more complaints of tired achy feet, legs and back. ANOTHER UPDATE: Purchased a black pair from an off site vendor (blue skies) and was horribly disappointed recently when the shoe was entirely too snug and much firmer than any of my other pairs; the shoe was actually visibly smaller as well when joined up with my previous pairs. The shoe said size 6, so did the box. The insert in the shoe said 5- 5 1/2 and I had no problem believing this to be true. I packed them back up and readied for return only to discover, much to my dismay, that the vendor (blue skies) did NOT cover the cost of the return. I had somehow missed that detail being accustomed to dealing in Prime items through Amazon. So I paid $12 to send them back!!! I caution others to pay particular attention to ALL the details when dealing with off-site vendors. Also be aware that these new Merrell Women's Encore Breeze 3 Slip-Ons are NOT what they used to be apparently, harder foot bed and the sizing is way off.
