I have been wearing Levis 517 jeans for 40 years and these are to only jeans I will ever wear. That being said, be very careful when ordering online. I made the mistake of ordering without reading the description and ended up with 35% polyester / 65% cotton. those are JUNK!!! I have no idea why they would do something like that, but I guess there are people out there that like the blended materials. Make sure that it says 100% cotton if you want the "real" Levis 517s. Always a perfect fit and like hanging out with your best friend.

For some reason, 517s are hard for me to find in stores where I live. They are what I think of as the classic blue jeans. A little more close fitting and nice waist height; none of this sits on the hips stuff. The pair I got were just the right size and were made of that nice dark blue denim. This was my first foray into buying jeans online, and I will do it again. I don't have to go shopping in a store. Yay!

They are the same jeans he has worn for 35 years. he's been wearing 34-32 but he got sick and lost a little weight so his old jeans were looking really baggy, so I figured a 33-32 would work. but the waist is much smaller than we expected. Since I had already washed them I can't return them or I would. Lesson .learned....
