Good value
The battery dies, consistently, after about 9 months of use. However, it is really inexpensive to replace. So you just need to count on spending $12 every 9 months.

Good Battery
Good replacement battery. Used one that lasted quite a while in our previous monitor, and just ordered another along with a new monitor. Both are working great with fast recharging.

Works perfectly
Old battery was failing. Simple to replace and now the monitor lasts for hours and hours off the battery once charged

A1059 IPOD 4th 20GB hdd and thin back will fit ...with a little solder
I bought this battery after a recommendation on an ipod subreddit that it could replace a 3rd Gen battery. I have a 4th gen 20GB monochrome A1059, and they use the same connector. They mentioned the pins were wrongly ordered if you decide to use this battery, and they needed to be re-ordered to match the factory battery. I found the glued connector too difficult to remove, but I have a soldering iron. I just snipped it off with my wire cutters as close to the connector as possible. I also removed the wire and the attached connector from my bad old battery, by cutting that off as close to the old battery as possible which is has the right pin order. Match black-black/red-red/white-yellow. Try to leave as much extra wire for yourself to work with from each part as I have described . It will help keep the shrink tubing away from the heat which you need to do on all 3 wires. Put it on before soldering them If you feed the wires under the board at the bottom right corner, the same as the factory, this battery fits with the stock 20GB hard drive, all of the drive dampening foam, the rubber drive bumpers, and the thin back. Rockbox has a setting in the menu to change the battery capacity to 1200mah so the % meter is more accurate. Not sure how the ipod OS handles this difference since I don't use that. Theoretically you can grab a 160GB hard drive from a 7th gen ipod and a long 4th gen flex cable from iflash for a compatible upgrade. This keeps the ipod nice and heavy feeling. There is only enough RAM for the stock OS to handle around 120-160GB of music anyway, so why flash mod at all when you can get a hard drive for 50 bucks? Just make sure you find a drive that is 5mm (thin) not 8mm (thick) or you will need the larger back. Word on the street is that all other batteries in this size are unreliable. This baby monitor battery is an OEM part from it's manufacturer for the device it's made for. The observation of remote babies can not be compromised by subpar manufacturer defects, so grab this one. It came charged at around 80% Very well packaged. I'll update if I have any issues.

YOUR BATTERY PROBABLY DOES NOT NEED REPLACING!
As others have said, please try this quick trick before buying a replacement battery for your baby monitor. It actually does work! Fully charge your monitor, then unplug/remove the battery from the monitor for 15-20 minutes. Then, plug it back in, and it will show a full charge and work as if new again. Sounds odd, but as many others have said, it actually works. Something in the monitor's firmware makes it think that after a year or so, the original battery cannot hold a charge. It's probably planned obsolescence or something. But the battery is probably just fine. Unplugging the battery from the monitor for 15-20 minutes somehow resets it. Before doing this, my monitor showed a low battery and then turned off after just a few minutes of use; now it works as if new again.

Worked great for about 18 months
Did exactly what it's supposed to do! I would think 2-3 years use would be normal for this rechargeable battery but only got about 18 months. Still less than $1 a month before it started not holding charges and would die after 30 minutes. Bought another one, still well worth the money.
