Yes you can, this may not be the longest lasting wax. But the application is easy to apply and is pretty easy to take off. Been using this for years.

It is a fine grit and works well for removing oxidation safely and leaving a smooth surface to be waxed

Do i need to use a finishing wax product after this compound?

Yes: The compound is very aggressive. use a polish afterwards, then protection.
