Ok so, if you’re going to be using white or black, something plain, I would just get the rustoleum brand chalk paint from your local hardware store. But! This paint is great if there’s a specific color/vibe you’re going for. I did a very light scuff, not even a proper sanding, on my dresser that I painted and probably didn’t even need to do that. The paint adhered beautifully. I am really impressed with the way this paint dries smooth. I watched the videos on here before painting, gathering tips and advice. It was very helpful. I did as the girl in the video, shorter small strokes, working the paint with the grain until I felt the slight drag which indicated it was time to dip my brush back into the paint. I did this kind of quickly and wasn’t too terribly careful, 2 coats and it dried BEAUTIFULLY. It is pricy but I was able to paint a small 3 drawer dresser with about half (maybe a little more) of the 16 oz in the color “Nightfall”. Definitely will be purchasing more colors for other projects. Nightfall is a beautiful true “antique” rich blue. The colors online are true to color in person. Love it!

I used this paint on an IKEA Tarva dresser, and I’m very impressed with the results. The paint goes on smoothly and is easy to work with, even for someone without much painting experience. I only needed one coat for full coverage, and the color turned out vibrant and consistent. To make application easier, I dipped my brush in a little water, which helped the paint spread evenly. Cleanup was simple—when a few drops fell on the floor, I wiped them up right away with a damp towel and had no issues. Four months later, after moving the dresser once, the finish still looks great with no chips or fading. I may add a second coat eventually, but it already looks fantastic. I purchased the 437 ml jar, and I still have enough left for touch-ups. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the price—I feel it could be a bit more affordable so that more people are encouraged to try your products. Overall, this paint exceeded my expectations—great coverage, beginner-friendly, and long-lasting. Highly recommend!
