As well as the crocodile clips there is a fan, magnifying glass and a light, which make fine soldering much easier. The base has a good weight to it and non-slip feet, so it'll stay firmly in place. There are also indents on the top of the base, so small components or screws won't roll away. The plastic feels reasonably brittle, but making slow adjustments I haven't had any issues.

Very impressed with this Third hand. Well packaged, well made and extremely well thought out. The arms are so flexible yet stay in position. The grips on the end can be maneuvered 360 degrees so holding items is a doddle. The two extra arms are well worth the small extra price. They can be used to guide tubes of super glue etc so you don't have to hold them and get glue on your fingers etc. The light plugs into a USB port but also if you have an iPhone or mobile charger that you can put a USB into then that worked for me fine all day. The Magnifier takes a little getting used to if you wear glasses but with 10 minutes I was fixing items and soldering like a pro.I have had third hands before that were more fixed and solid but ... I now prefer this as it is much more flexible, adaptable and the arms can go much wider or smaller apart than a fixed hand system.Highly recommended even bought one for brother for Christmas.

I put off buying one of these for years due to the cost. I've used White Tac, pliers with elastic bands and any other number of aids. Should have just bought this in the first place. Sturdy arms with excellent grips. I've already made some tiny circuit boards with great success.

I'm building some metal Star Wars models and these are a godsend. I don't use the fans but light and magnifying glass really help.Its stable and the fact the "pincers"/"clamps" are covered makes it great for using on delicate pieces.Quite impressed if I'm honest.

Im Vergleich zu anderen ähnlichen Produkten, hält dieses hier, was es verspricht.Die Grundplatte, könnte sogar noch etwas schwerer sein. Ich helfe mit einer Tischklammer nach. Steht dann Bombenfest.Die blauen Biegedinger knarzen manchmal, sind aber sehr fest und halten ihre Lage gut.Auch...was andere sagen...zwei Drähte genau gegenüber zu halten, wäre Fummelei, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Das geht auf Anhieb.Allerdings stimmt es das die Halteklammern sehr fragil sind. Wenn die an den Spitzen zu doll heiß werden, schmilzt das Gummi. Da kann man aber aufpassen, oder zur Not einen neuen Schrumpfschlauch drüber ziehen.Leider fallen die Klammern tatsächlich leicht aus der Halterung. Man muss da ein bischen improvisieren. Ich habe sie einfach eingeklebt und am Ende der orangen Teile ein Löchlein gebohrt und dann einen Stift durchgesteckt.Somit lassen die Klammern sich dann auch wieder drehen.Alles in allem ist dieser Kraken ähnliche Ständer mit seinen Armen ziemlich groß...wer aber tatsächlich mal kleinere Platinen löten muss, hat hier keine Halterprobleme.Und...das ist wichtig...man muss ja nicht alle Arme anschrauben. Ich nutze meist nur zwei, bew. auch mal vier, wenn ich Licht und Lupe brauche. Den USB Lüfter kann man dagegen voll vergessen. Der ist totaler Unsinn. Liegt da nur rum und hat kaum eine Funktion.Trotzdem gebe ich dieser dritten Hand volle 5 Sterne und würde sie auch wieder kaufen.Selbst beim Anspruchsvollem, löten ist das eine große Hilfe.

Después de usarlo un tiempo he decir que es MUY útil. Sin embargo la base no es demasiado pesada y si colocas algo de peso en los brazos, no será muy estable. Además, parece que colocar las pinzas, por lo duras que son las articulaciones, es complicado. Por otro lado, una vez lo tienes todo listo, es muy cómo de usar.
