Review: This is the worst academic textbook I’ve had to read. It overcomplicates straightforward concepts, relies on implicit assumptions without stating them, and repeatedly forces the reader to “guess” what the author meant. The solutions contain typos and inconsistencies, and there are multiple cases where formulas are derived or used in exercises without being properly introduced or explained in the main text. The writing feels careless: unclear phrasing, missing reasoning steps, and an overall lack of precision that makes learning harder than it should be. A good technical book should reduce ambiguity and build concepts transparently; this one does the opposite.

Excellent State of Arz textbook.

This is an awesome text to use to study for the CFA exam. It is very thorough and well written. Great reference for any financial advisor.
