Worked pretty much in rural and in London. My wife and I each got a physical simm card and each had a phone number that worked in the UK. Just register a day or so before you go and works on touch down at Heathrow. Mostly 4g data speeds, and I did a speedtest in Devon (west country) and it was like 80Mbs/30Mbs. So, not too bad and never ran out of data with the 40GB plan.

Bought for my son who was abroad in England for 1 month after viewing the reviews. He found it very easy to install and worked right away. Definitely recommend.

I suspect many US travelers buy this SIM for use in a portable wireless router ("MIFi") in the UK. When purchased through the mail from Amazon it appears that the TravSim website does not set you up with an account, although you can activate the SIM ahead of time via the TravSim website using the full SIM code on the package. You may see "To check your TravelSIM balance, you can either dial 146099# on your phone or log into your account on the TravelSIM website. Alternatively, you can use the USSD code 146941*PACKAGE_NUMBER# to check the package status and remaining usage volume." But this works only if the SIM is in a cell phone, not in portable WiFi router. Thus you're left high-and-dry about knowing what your balance is. It's a tad frustrating to have a local UK phone number assigned to the SIM but inaccessible since it's in your router. It would be helpful if TravSim gave some documentation specifically for portable WiFi router users--suggestions on how to use voice over IP or other means of somehow determining how much data is left on the SIM package. Nonetheless, this SIM works fine for its purpose if the no-phone-use limitations are not a problem.

Does not work with carrier locked phones. Does not state this in the documentation. Returned for refund.

Just got home a few days ago from a Princess British Isles Cruise. It worked in all the UK countries perfectly. Would buy again if trip is ever repeated.

I was able to send text via What’s Ap and send email to the US. But I wasn’t able to call locally in UK. It was a big disappointment and pain!

I used this during a 2-week trip to the UK. It was straightforward to set up (I waited until arrival) and worked well. Most of the time, I only needed to use data, but on a few occasions I was glad I also had voice calling. It was a bit cheaper than ones I saw for sale in England.

My SIM card arrived promptly and the instructions were clear. The problem arose when I had to enter the date window for using the card. My fingers were too clumsy for accurate calendar entry on my Iphone13 mini and I kept on getting the dates wrong and had to start over by scanning the QR code again. The last time I tried using my phone a screen popped up asking for my credit card details for account verification (but no charge) A minute later my bank called to ask whether I had authorized a payment of $2.99 to retrozap games. When I told them I had not the bank canceled my card. I was later able to register using an IPad. The larger screen enabled me to navigate the calendar entry successfully.

SIM dati che ho utilizzato in un altro telefono che ho utilizzato per connettermi, con hotspot a Londra. Attenzione se avete un telefono dual SIM, la linea non è proprio il massimo e ogni tanto perde il segnale. Nel complesso mi sono trovato bene.

La solución perfecta para tener datos y llamadas en destino. Las demás se pueden hacer por WhatsApp o similar. Funciona estupendamente no se pierde nada de cobertura. Hay que solicitar la activación unos días antes de llegar a destino. En mi teléfono sólo tengo para poner una SIM, cambié una por otra en el trayecto y al llegar todo funcionaba estupendamente.

No issues...set up online BEFORE you go and it works great. However, next time I will just great an eSIM for data only. Never used the phone number
