Very large, very warm, very smart looking wool blanket. Perfect for my conservatory this winter.

This as a big hit as a Christmas gift for my husband. I'm a big fan of wool and wanted to get him a wool blanket for his side of the bed (he purloined one of our wool throws for this purpose, but it isn't long enough). I wasn't sure about the quality at this price point, but it is the real deal. He loved the Four Cedars colorway and the heft and weight of the blanket. It was perfect for keeping him warm while watching a movie in our under-insulated sun-room. While it isn't as soft as pure merino wool, it doesn't feel scratchy at all to me. It will make s a perfect layer for the bed in between the top sheet and blanket. Because it has such a high percentage of wool, I'm glad it can be machine-washed; it would be rather heavy to hand wash. I'll be using a made-for-wool detergent on the delicate cycle and then line-drying it. But I don't expect it to need a wash for some time since wool handles odors so well.

One run through the wash and it was fluffed up, but with pilly lumpy fluffs, rather than uniform wool fluff. I would hand wash them and line dry them only.

Three stars for appearance and softness (it's not scratchy like wool), but this is impossible to use as a throw blanket. It's way too big, heavy, and unwieldy. It would probably be good for a bed blanket.
