Activity Set

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas, as she loves crafts. My daughter called me Christmas day to let me know the glue strings were dried up, unusable. She said it looked like it would have been fun...My daughter and Son-in-law tried everything as my granddaughter waited patiently to play with this. I was totally disappointed as this was a gift to my granddaughter for Christmas. I had to purchase something else and she had to wait for her gift from grandma... Bottom line.. good concept, needs to go back to the drawing board.Don't waste your money or time!

Okay so this comes in a very cute carrying case but then you get EVERYTHING ready to use it and guess what the glue is dried to the inside of the string pen.... I even bought a refill at the same time guess what same thing glue dried... The worse thing was that I just gave it to my daughter to cheer her up (she has the flu) and IT DOESN"T WORK>>>> It was a EARLY Bday present. So I feel like MOM of the YEAR!!!! THANKS STRING WORKS

I got this as a gift for my 8 year old niece. She was intrigued by it, but even with adult supervision it did not work very well. I would not recommend the purchase of this product.

My 5-yr. old and 6-yr. old daughters enjoyed playing with this toy in the 2 weeks following Christmas. However, they used up the string pretty quickly and now I can't find refills. I called customer service for Jakks to find out where in my area I could find refills, and they could do no better than Google it! (As if I hadn't thought of that!) The rep said to check major retailers like Toys R Us, Walmart, and Target; Amazon; and Ebay. Well, the refills aren't on Amazon or Ebay, and my local Toys R Us doesn't have them. I'll check the other stores next time I happen to be there, but it's a pretty sad excuse for customer service that can't look up where in a particular area you can buy their product. Shouldn't they KNOW that their product isn't on Amazon and Ebay? Incredible. Too bad, it was a pretty fun toy.

This was given to my 8 year old for Christmas and we were both excited to try this toy out but that soon changed! The string in her set was hard to pull out and kept breaking... also be aware it's covered in glue so it can be a little messy if you have to keep pulling glue covered string out due to breaking! Thankfully I paid very little for this set! I do not recommend paying full retail value that's for sure!

This was a great concept and very appealing to young girls. I purchased one for a birthday gift and one for a christmas gift. It wasn't until after Christmas that I discovered that the pens were dried up. No amount of soaking in hot water helped, and replacement pens were not to be found. I checked with the gift recipient and found they had encountered the same problem. It was too late to return, so I contacted the manufacturer. They sent two replacement products. So, while the original product didn't work, I was happy with the manufacturer's response AND I really like the replacement product I received.

The glue in these pens was already dry and we could not use this item one bit. Complete waste of money and time. Spent hours looking for a solution to loosen the glue but could not find any. The directions says about 10 mins in warm water, but that does not work.I left these pens in HOT water for hours, but that would still not loosen the glue.Please do not waste your money, unless you have a way to refund this item.

Bought this for my 6 year old grand-daughter this past Chrismas. Boy, what a mistake that was. Very hard and frustrating to put together and use for an adult, much less a child. Maybe it would be easier for a "seasoned" crafter to work with?String World Activity Set
