YJ COOL Chinese Sword Han Dynasty Auspicious Jian

I got it for Tai Chi sword practice and general sword swinging for shoulder and grip strength in the arms. It can be healing to play with a sword like when you were a kid. Your body used to keep itself limber with fun and I'm trying to remember that and use it to my benefit.

The sword arrived way earlier than expected and the blade is absolutely beautiful! Its construction is very solid with no rattling and the fittings are sturdy.I got the type 5 version and although the gold paint on the designs isn't exactly precise, it's pretty close and looks good anyway. The scabbard is beautiful and the fit is firm but the blade doesn't stick. It came in a very nice sword bag as well!One marginal complaint is that my blade has an ever so slight bend to it, which I didn't even notice until very close inspection. I doubt it would even show up in a picture.All in all, absolutely great value for the price. I've purchased swords twice as expensive that were half as good. If other swords from this seller are of the same quality, I will be purchasing another soon.

I have a fair background in cutlery sales. I have also been collecting swords for the last 10 years, and i know it can be intimidating purchasing from a less known manufacturer. That said i am THRILLED WITH THIS SWORD.It is my first High Manganese alloy sword, it arrived decently sharp and has held it’s factory edge remarkably. I’d go as far as to say it surpasses my high carbon blades and is comparible to my spring steel blades. It is a bit heavy, and strictly one handed so it may not be for everyone. It is not perfectly balanced, but not far from it. In fact it’s balance point is very tolerable for a blade this short and of this weight. The fittings are tight and solid. The ornaments on the scabbard are simply beautiful. It was only with great scrutiny i found any flaws in the paint job. At first glance it looks flawless. Easily pretty enough for decoration and i’d go as far to say it can be made combat ready easily. Almost as impressive as any of my Cas Iberia pieces and just as functional as any Cold Steel i own, and so much cheaper to boot. I will GLADLY try to answer any questions on this piece, and i will seek out the seller again for other swords.

For the price, it is a decent looking sword. Honestly, the blade is beautiful, Clean, straight, and nice detailing. I love the blade. The fittings are a little sloppy, not in how they fit, they are tight. But their appearance. They are cast and mass produced and this is noticeable and the dark coloring on them looks a bit sloppily painted on with a bare spot here and there. But, this is a $180 sword, not a $1800 sword. But the blade itself is beautiful enough that I can ignore it.And most importantly, to answer my own and everyone else's question. It is full tang, or at least close to it. It does have a nut at the end for the fitting.

Amazing quality! about a lb. lighter than other swords. Very good quality blade! The handle guard is not as comfortable, but with gloves it has great control. Very light and fast moving sword. The sheath is smooth but loose fitting. Over all a good sword!

So this sword arrived a full 2 weeks early! To make matters better it is just simply amazing: absolutely wonderful and intricate design (the folded steel pattern is beautiful while also not being over powering), well balanced, not too heavy, bigger than I thought it was, and a surprisingly sharp blade. I'm not in love with the sword's handle and the scabbard is not my favorite, but all in all it is a wonderful blade! Thank you!

I absolutely adore the sword, it looks exactly as I expected and feels wonderful. Would be 5 stars but unfortunately there are a few blemishes concerning the etching on the blade so just a heads up for your future products. But like I said, this blade is exceptional.

It’s a great sword, awesome weight and very good for practice. I only take a star away because of something that is more my fault. It’s short but at 6’2” I should have been more mindful of the length.
