Cats Love This
We usually feed our cats (who have been surgery for urinary ussues) Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet UR that requires a prescription. But, when the prescription expires and I can't get it ontime this Purina Pro Plan is always our backup. The cats love it and we haven't had an urinary tract blockage in several years with using this for a while in place of the incredibly expensive prescription form.

PLEASE READ THIS FOR YOU WILL NEED THIS KNOWLEDGE: MIRALAX is also needed for her
My cat wife is so constipated that I also have to give her a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLAX mixed in with a little of wet cat food, and she is about 16 pounds which is why it has to be a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLax that I buy at the grocery store under the instructions of my professional Veterinarian, and the rhythm is that on the day of a good bowel movement I pass up giving her the MiraLAX, and on the very next day I give a 1/2 of a teaspoon of MiraLAX each day until another good and again and on that day I pass up the treatment only to follow the next days with the MiraLAX until the day of a good bowel movement and again I pass up the MiraLAX only on that day; however, it does seem to work better of a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the morning and a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the evening, but that means that I need more wet cat food; therefore, I just do 1/2 of a teaspoon once with a little of wet cat food, and the rest of the time she gets this dry cat food mixed in with the dry cat food for Urinary problems that occurred with her constipation that also had her throwing up all the time as well, and when I stay on the rhythm of the MiraLAX all of the problems disappeared meaning that there is no constipation and no urinary problems and no throwing up all of the time. I wish that I was wealthy enough to create a dry cat food with MiraLAX mixed in and it makes me wonder why someone like Purina has not already done this because it would solve so many problems for cat lovers and their overall health where good bowel movements are definitely required.

Great product, cats hated taste
It does exactly what it should. We were having issues with cat starting to inappropriately urinate outside of box. We switched to this food and within days or stopped.... but all 3 cats hate it, ha. Had to start mixing it with their old food again because they never would eat it alone. By it works.

Good
This is the only kind I use, and my local store was out of it.

Crystals cleared in my cat
One of my cats developed crystals, so I tried this food rather than the expensive veterinarian diet. It works very well for him and I am pleased this little piggy doesn't have to have the veterinarian diet. I am thinking of switching Stinker to it as well, since he is on the vet diet for the same thing. The only problem I have is the cats really do not care for it. I have 6. the one who was recently dx with crystals will eat it, but wants to eat the mixture I give the other 4. The others will look at me and cry if there is only pro-plan in the dish! I have to mix theirs with a different type of Purina and constantly chase Leonardo the sick one out of their dishes. O voi. Purina please make it taste better to them so they will all enjoy it.Update--Stinker unfortunately does not respond well to this food, and my female will not eat it and she has been dx'd with struvite crystals 2 weeks ago. Now 2 of them are on the prescription diet. But at least the Pro-Plan was on sale for a ridiculously low price for a short time and I bought 3 bags! The others are eating it now, though I still have to chase 2 of them out of the prescription food. It took awhile but they are finally eating the ProPlan Focus. Yaaay! It is definitely not their favorite but when they are hungry that's all they have so they are eating it.

Our cats won’t eat it.
The affected cat doesn’t like it. We give it to 11 other cats without urinary troubles and all of them don’t empty the bowl either. If pumpkin pie cured cancer, it wouldn’t do any good if nobody ever ate it. Pro Plan is top notch, but this one, not so much.

Our indoor cat loves it!
This cat food was recommended by our vet a few years ago for our indoor cat that was not drinking enough water and had frequent urinary tract issues. Our cat likes the flavor, drinks more water and has not had any more urinary tract issues since.
