I work outside and basically every day I have been using them the lights on are pretty bright, which is about perfect. I don’t use them. I mainly got it for the bug part and I’m pretty sure they do less the time it says it does. It does work and I like them? I got two of them all of them. I can see right now has two mosquitoes stuck to the Metal the on the UV. and they’re not that heavy you can hang them on just about anything. It’s got a nice little thick plastic hook so as long as you don’t hang on something and she yanked it, they will be fine and it save me from a lot of bites, I went from getting bit 20 times on my elbow, plus 2. I haven’t really gotten bit in the last couple days since I’ve gotten them because I work security and at night they’re very useful. They’re also pretty durable no noise. I mean you have to put your ear up to the plastic to be able to hear the humming but they’re practically noiseless

I bought one of these lights several years ago, and liked it so much, I bought more. So useful and extremely handy and easy to use. As a camping tool, these are light weight, easy to use, and work great. Both inside and outside a tent and camper, they provide needed light. They are easily charged from either a vehicle USB or a portable battery charging unit or a small solar charger. While camping, one grandchild wanted a night light. We turned one of these on low power and it was still going strong 11 hours later. In the tent, the bug zapper ran quietly all night and cleared the air. As a home tool, these are also great. Not packed away with camp gear, but left strategically around the house, in the event of a power outage, they can provide efficient, long lasting, and low cost portable lighting. My original 4 are kept charged, and during a power outage, they provide ample lighting after dark for so many needs. One provides temporary lighting for the hall and stairway, while another for the living room, and the third in the kitchen/dining area. The forth is used as a carry about unit wherever needed. Sure, we could use flashlights, and we do, but these light weight lights can sit on a shelf or other support and just be left alone to light up an tremendous area. The most recent purchase of 3 new units now allows one unit to be left in each bedroom. As a bug zapper in the home, we recently got to test them out. We were inundated this year with extremely small flying bugs that managed to work their way though the screen openings. Finding the bugs a real irritant, I turned on 3 of the zappers and by morning the air was totally void of bugs. A couple of taps and a fairly strong hair dryer blower and the units were all clean.

I like these and they catch lots of gnats. However I have not seen anything larger than gnats killed. Also the charge only lasts one night. I have to charge them every day to be able to use that night. I have a larger bug zapper for inside the house. I use these small ones for the bedrooms to keep from being bothered at night while trying to sleep. They are a nice “personal” size. Do not expect them to kill flies or even lots of gnats if outside. Using at night, the light is kind of bright.

If you get the product that is pictured you will like the product. I have a set I've been using for 2 years and they are the best bug zapper light I've tried. I use them in my camper van. I make sure and leave them on for about 5-10 minutes after all doors are closed at night time and they get those last little mosquitos or gnats that will irritate you all night long unless you can zap them. The lights are also nice and bright and it's nice the zapper works without the light bulb being on as well. They are easy to clean. I ordered twice and was sent the cheaper version that does not get as many varieties of bugs both times so I sent them back and will order from other source to get what I pay for. Do no recommend this seller. This is not a poor review on the product, it's a 5 star product, the seller is less than a 1 star.

Works well

The battery life is definitely not 30 hours, it's more like 10 for just the UV lamp. These had to be recharged every day for overnight use. The lack of remote controls makes them kind of difficult to use if you need some kind of schedule or regular on/off cycle. Doing it manually isn't ideal in today's world. They would probably be good for portable, temporary use outdoors on trips. Water seems to get into them when washing, there's definitely sloshing around after doing exactly what they want - running water over them to wash bugs off. Performance is actually good - small insects do get attracted to and killed by this product. Overall, not worth the price. Get yourself something larger and with some kind of timer you can set up for permanent use, but these can be helpful if you remember they're going to die faster than advertised between charges and may actually get wet internally... Never stare at the light or use where people, pets, or plants will be - should go without saying.

I love that there is a deployable hook inside the fold-up loop so you can hang it on a nail or a loop in the tent. I like that it sits flat upside down and can be used as a tabletop lantern in that way, although it's pretty bright when used like that. Generally, a great value for a useful thing.
