An EXCELLENT PRODUCT
It's a much better mono pod than described. Excellent through out and strong.

Do you know how big is it?
A stable and versatile option for photographers and videographers, the XIT 72 Elite Tripod offers high-quality construction, a quick-release mechanism, and adjustable height for various shooting scenarios. One potential con of the XIT 72 Elite Series Professional Tripod is that it may not be as compact as some other options on the market, which can make it less convenient to transport. However, the sturdiness and versatility provided by this tripod make it a great option for anyone who needs a dependable and functional tripod for their photography or videography needs.

It's worth the price!
I mainly used this tripod stand to take videos using my iPhone. It isn't heavy and can be easily folded back and stored in the bag/pouch it came with. However, the stem got dented and the plastic attached to the revolver handle broke apart.

Taking picture taking to new heights
It is my personal opinion that three and four hundred dollar tripods are overrated. I also don't understand the love affair nature photographers seem to have with ball heads and gimbals. I used a perfectly serviceable no-name tripod for over a decade until it broke recently, necessitating it's replacement. I use to be embarrassed by the thing, but it slowly became a source of pride over the years when I realized how much money I was saving. The one drawback of that tripod was it's height, which I think is the problem with nearly half the tripods on the market. They are made as though the target market are all dwarfs. So, I am really tickled with this new Xit tripod that can be extended to 80 inches! And it didn't break the bank. I may never need all 80 inches unless I'm standing on the upside of a hill, but I am just enjoying being able to get it to eye level without having to bend over. It is a well designed piece of equipment. The leg locks - one of the more important design features in my opinion - are one of the better types out there. I do wish companies would standardize the quick release plates. This one is just slightly smaller than the plate on my old tripod, so I am not able to use the old plate. It would be nice to have a spare. In my experience, the three-way pan head is much more suitable for tracking birds in flight - something I use it for all the time - than a ball head (or a $500 dollar gimbal). The one shortcoming is that the handle is, well, a little short. It isn't a deal breaker, but it would have been nice if it was slightly longer which would make the action a little smoother when tracking birds. Since the length is not limited by how the tripod folds down, there was room in the design to make it a more generous length. Pros knock tripods designed with four leg sections, claiming they are too unstable. I don't find that to be true at all. The foam grips are great for cold weather use also. This is a lot of tripod for the money, in my opinion.

Tripod legs can be flipped upside down for low camera angles. The tripod can be hung too.
I love this tripod. I just bought a boom arm for it to get even more leverage and angles for my cameras.Glide Gear product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074T7DTR3?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsfor anyone interested in adding a boom arm that fits.

Great beginners tripod
I have purchased 2 of these and they work great and they have helped me determine what I like and don’t like in a tripod. I like the 2 section legs instead of 3 section legs. The only issues I have had is that the 1st one I bought has a “sticky” leg (harder to pull out) and the 2nd one has one leg section that doesn’t lock very well. I’m aware of these and at the price I paid, I can work with it. Still, great tripods for the price.

A bit shaky which is not what you want.
What initially attracted me to this monopod was the low price, the height, and also the quick release. This is my first monopod so I didn't want to go overboard on spending. I'm over 6' tall and don't want to stoop over to use the stick. I also wanted to be able to use this without adding another head or leaving it stuck on all the time. This does hit all of those things but there are some reservations about a few of them.My biggest issue with this monopod is simply the quick release head. It doesn't screw easily into the bottom of my camera (a 60D) is part because the stop on the screw can only go down in a certain place; if things don't line up right you may need to figure out how to get an extra 1/4 turn on the screw to get the lock down or you'll have to let up a bit. The bigger problem is the QUICK RELEASE DOES NOT FIT TIGHTLY into the top of the monopod. If you fasten the camera back to the stick like it came apart there is some wiggle in the connection which is not what you want. This may still be better then you or I can hold it but it is not what you want.Moving on from the quick release base/head the whole thing does feel a bit shaky but what do you expect for under $20. The locks are easy to run and seem to hold under early testing. It is as long as it says which is a good thing. When it comes to the foot pad/spike I think there is too much space for the pad to run up; this thing can expose about one inch of metal at its tip.I do not trust this monopod completely with my camera and lens but do think it can help steady shaky hands with some effort. I am considering returning this item depending on the hassle but will give it one final chance to satisfy my use before making that decision.

Why buy a $100 + Joby. This is perfect and 1/5 the price. No brainier !!!!!
This is the best budget flexible tripod.I've tried a couple of these cheap flexible tripods and this on is the best one in the budget class that I've tried so far. It's very sturdy, Much better then the octopus tripod that you see everywhere on Amazon, The one that looks exactly like the Joby, The issue I had with that one is that the joints pull apart very easyily. This one is much better, I use it with mirrorless cameras, its perfect for that, you can use it with a DSLR and it works good but I still don't trust setting it up and walking away. But with how sturdy it feels, I say it would hold up good.It comes with an attached ball head and quick release, I wish it came with a spare quick release case it's very small, I'm afraid that I might loose it. I can't complain because of the price. If you're working with a point and shoot, GoPro, Mounting lights or using a mirrorless DSLR then this is perfect for you, no need to buy a Joby that cost 5 times the amount. For something heavier then I would look into getting something that can handle the weight.

Very cheap, not high quality BUT does the trick for the low price!
Not the best quality, and not very sturdy / well made. For the money, it does the trick and worked fine holding our 7" tablet sideways (though the stand did wobble a few times making us think our tablet would fall!) -we pucahed a separate tablet holder/attachment, this tripod is the tripod only!It has a snap/latch system to extend the legs, but the legs become thinner as they go down, making it even less sturdy the higher you make the tripod! There are many knobs that need to be turned to adjust the height, angle etc, which was a little difficult to get used to but with practice I was able to set our tablet up the way I wanted with easeOverall satisfied as it does the job, good for children or for occasional use but if you're using this with an expensive device, I'd recommend spending an extra $10-15 and getting one that will last & is more durable!
