Redcat Racing Lightning STK Electric Car, Red, 1/10 Scale

Its a bit of a dated design, but works well out of the box. I work with teams that compete in H2GP (look it up) and used this car as a teaching tool for maintenance and a test platform for modifications to the cars for our race teams. It's plenty durable. The weakest link is the front upper suspension links. You catch the front wheel just right, and they'll pop loose. Just pop it back on and get back on the track. Lipo/Brushless swap this and you've got something properly quick. Ran foam tires on mine for carpet tracks. Good car that gets the job done... even in stock form.

in spite of the biased reviews ive read about Redcat RC I have to say that in all honesty they are just great cars. They come with a ton of tuning options, can be upgraded to go super fast, are very tough can take a beating, there are many available parts for repair as they are not indestructable and can be very competitive as a Pro RC Car, though they come tuned in and tuned down as an entry level on road RC Stock car for beginners. Ive been in this hobby for quite some time now and I have to give these cars a BIG thumbs up. I think in my good opinion the reports I read are biased because they are Chinese made I am not against any product from any country as long as they can produce results. And really its all that matters. Cause anyone can get defected products from any maker/manufacturer bottom line is that they are good and great for family fun like my son and me thank you RedCat RC

i think this is one of the best cheapest rc cars just because it is fast and also has a universal frame

Box was damaged and the pins that hold body on frame are broken

I know this is a low priced car, but myself and a friend use these for parking lot racing and they are a blast. Just the right amount of speed for actual racing. If you are into speed runs etc., then get something brushless. But i you want something you can actually race with your friends, they are great. They never break, they handle very well right out of the box. I have far more expensive RC's but none have the fun factor for actual head to head racing that these do. The faster cars can be too much in a parking lot racing situation and very hard to get them to hook up on imperfect surfaces.

You can go to park to drive it fast or learn how to drift it around your garage. Alot of for kids and adults.

Definitely worth the price

Turned mine into a drift car for very little money. Fun little cars to tinker with. Super cheap. Worth every cent.
