I got that adrenaline momentum
I absolutely love this album. Venom has really stuck in my head, and I'm working on memorizing the words, but a lot of other songs on this album have already earned a spot on my "Eminem Favorites" playlist on iTunes. In particular The Ringer, Greatest, Lucky You, Not Alike and Kamikaze are all fantastic, but I think Venom and Lucky You are my favorite songs here. My only complaint is when the CD arrived, the little plastic pins that hold the CD in the case had broken, meaning the CD was falling around loose inside of the case and now the case is unusable. But i usually just keep CDs in a big case or in my car, so it's not the end of the world. It just concerned me, because the CD could easily have gotten scratched since the broken shards inside the case were kind of sharp.

Best album since the MMLP and The Eminem Show
Absolutely fantastic must buy. For the first time in his history he has managed to mesh the fire of MMLP and The Eminem Show and the purpose/hunger of those two albums, with his extraordinarily honed lyrical and technical skills he has constantly continued to develop since. Additionally, he FINALLY dropped Rubin and brought in some modern producers like Mike Will Made It and Illa da Producer, along with Dre. Rap features like Royce and Joyner instead of Beyonce and Skylar Grey. Short album, only about 45 minutes including skits--which are EXACTLY the type of skits that are hilarious, poignant, and a great breather in between songs. All in all a must buy which shows a Shady temper and fire dropping bar after bar enhanced by Eminem's years of honed lyrical and technical ability.

A very good and angry album from Eminem
Although I recognize Eminem to one of the best lyricist and rappers around, he has never been my favorite. I find too many of his rap songs to be unequal. Some tracks I love, some I do not care for. It is for instance different for me with Kendrick Lamar who I think is very consistently issuing bombs. It does not prevent me from supporting him because I like his rapping style enough and I do not want to see quality rappers disappear. So I bought Kamikaze and I find it very good. I will next describe each tracks as I do perceive them. 1 Stepping Stone [Explicit] (5:09) This track is very reminiscent of his previous albums. It has a rap beat but a Rock’n’Roll feel. Eminem is singing through the Chorus. The track discusses his standing point in reference to his past and his apologies to friends that felt let down. 4 stars. 2 Greatest [Explicit] (3:46) Great track with very catchy tune in the chorus. Love it. 5 stars. 3 Kamikaze [Explicit] (3:36) I cannot say that the starting music is my favorite but eventually it turns out fairly well. Eminem sings again the Chorus. Some scratches… I long for the time when rap songs had lots of scratches…4 Stars. 4 Fall [Explicit] (4:22) That track starts like a hit. I think it will be one of the most played rap from this album on radio. 5 Stars. 5 Paul (Skit) (0:35) This sounds like the same skits as usual… Paul asking Eminem if he is doing the right thing. No rating. 6 The Ringer [Explicit] (5:37) This is one of the tracks where Eminem is starting to tackle mumbling rappers and Eminem’s usual critics. The music is minimalist to allow the lyrics to be at the forefront. 4 stars. 7 Nice Guy [Explicit] (2:30) Very explicit rap. Lots of contrast between the high pitch (almost children like) voice of Jesse Reyez and the invitations to “Suck my…”. 3 stars. 8 Venom (Music From The Motion Picture) [Explicit] (4:29) Not my favorite but that rap has some virtues. The lyrics are related to the movie. 3 stars. 9 Em Calls Paul (Skit) [Explicit] (0:49) Eminem replies to Paul and basically tells him: Yes, I’ll keep on attacking who attacks me and he found the address of one of his critics… No rating. 10 Normal [Explicit] (3:42) It has been a while since I did not hear him rapping about his girlfriend. Nice music in this track. Another hit in this album. 5 stars. 11 Lucky You [feat. Joyner Lucas] [Explicit] (4:04) Joyner Lucas is a Killer… I love his verses. This is more sounding like Trap but Trap of a great quality. Eminem follows with the same format as Joyner Lucas and it sounds amazing. I think this track is my favorite in the album. 5 stars. 12 Good Guy [feat. Jessie Reyez] [Explicit] (2:22) Nice rap music with violins, nice bass, nice background vocals from Jesse Reyez (I think)…I love it. 5 stars. 13 Not Alike [feat. Royce Da 5'9] [Explicit] (4:48) Nice Piano Riff. Very nice featuring by Royce. Eminem compares himself with wannabe gangsta. Crazy Infra Bass after 3mn and Eminem goes hardcore. 4 stars. In conclusion: This album from Eminem is definitely worth buying. The average I get is of 4.3 out of 5 (rounded down to 4).

Vinyl Issue Olive Green - Audiophile Review
1st and foremost the album is phenomenal content related. I can play the whole thing without saying next. The most important thing to discuss is Vinyl issue. I collect Vinyl for DSD archiving. The issue which is not stated anywhere is this is a not a double LP or 2x. They fit all the tracks on one vinyl which isn't a problem for say 8 songs (audiophile 3-4 per side) However this has 13 tracks. The more on a vinyl the more the floor noise or db increase is required which unfortunately adds unnecessary hiss to quiet parts but without it, sound is too low because these squeezed too much on on LP. There is nothing wrong with the vinyl otherwise. If you are looking for a pristine or 180g properly pressed not happening with this LP. That being said since this was mastered at 24/96; for example Adrenaline Rush by artist twista was re-issued limited in pristine 180g and it shows. Another example is Eminems OWN LP set in the range of hundreds of dollars has better vinyl in it and all releases are double LP in that set. So... Wait... for a better double LP or buy hi-res. 24/96. Otherwise its okay to just play on its own . If anyone finds a different opinion on this advise me on what you find.

Come posso non dare 5 stelle a un album di Marshall? Kamikaze è un album che non può mancare a un fan come me, ma anche un bellissimo inizio per cominciare ad ascoltare Eminem.

Though I admire and respect Eminem, this is only the third album I've purchased by him (the other two Being Marshall Mathers 1 & 2). What sold me was the fact that it sounds like a tight underground album thats backed by high caliber production (Dr Dre & Shady). The end result sounds like a contemporary version of Eminem with beats and musicality that rivals absolutely anything that's current in hip hop. To put it mildly, Marshall isn't happy with the state of rap music and explains why in tracks like The Ringer and more so, Lucky You (which isn't only the best track on the album but showcases Shady at a technical level that is absolutely ridiculous). If you thought that Rap God was impressive, Lucky You will have you in awe. In short, the track and the entire album demonstrate precisely why Eminem might very well be the most gifted MC that hip hop has ever seen (yes, past and present). If you're a fan, this should already be in your library. If you're somewhat on the fence, I highly recommend picking this up, especially if you're a vinyl head and can still grab the limited edition olive coloured copy. This is most definitely one of 2018's best, and a must own for any fan of the genre. Ps. For vinyl collectors, this a an impressive pressing for a few reasons.. Not only does it come on in a gatefold sleeve with stellar cover art, it also comes on gorgeous olive coloured wax in the form of a single LP that sounds full and vibrant. Personally, if possible, I far prefer the single LP pressings as they sound just as good (if they aren't terribly long) and allow an full listen without having to change sides after every 3 or 4 tracks. Either way, it's a collectors dream so grab one of the coloured copies while they're still available.
