Refillable Gas Growler Deluxe 5-Pound Empty Propane Tank with Carry Case and Adapter Hose

I am a typical Prime shopper. I find a product and go to the 1 star reviews first. I read the stories about the product being rusted, unfillable, adaptors, release valves and out of date stamps, "Don't waist your money" I will be honest after I ordered it I was concerned about what I would receive and if I just waisted my money on an old 5lb tank that someone threw together to make a sale. The 5 star reviews mentioned the over use of the Green 1lb tanks filling up our land fills and people not disposing of them properly, not a lot of actual use cases and information. I received my 5 lb tank and case and am thrilled with what I received. It is everything that I was looking for and more. I took to a local hardware store half expecting to get turned away and had ZERO issues and cost $5.25 to fill it. As far as value for the Money. How do you really measure that? If it is cheap then we dont trust it. If it is to pricing then it is not worth it. For me this product is going to make my life easier with less hassle, more convenience, and less worry. I hooked it up to my Kahuna burner and everything went together and out preformed my expectation. We do weekend jeep bug out trips to the mountains and in the past if we wanted to have a gas firepit :( we had to pack one of the large 20 lb tanks which are hard to store with a coolers, tents, dry bags etc. The gas growler is perfect , easy to store and secure, the case will help protect it from rattling around. I don't know about you but when ever i hear a Propane tank banging around in the back it makes me nervous, just something about that sound. I have recommended it to my friends and would buy it again in a heart beat. Hint: this would make a great gift for the weekend worriers, Ice fishers, tailgaters that complain about logging around the 20 lb tanks! No i am not a paid reviewer. I'm just someone that appreciates useful gifts that are not candidates for next summers yard sale.

Good for a few days of camping when you don’t need a large canister.

I go camping a lot (overland/car/ski resort parking lots right now) and always feel guilty about using up and throwing away those little green canisters every time I head out. I looked up the Gas Growler and figured I'd try it out. I had it in two days and took it in to get filled which was super easy. I couldn't believe it only cost $2.60! I would have to spend 4X that to get the same amount in throw-away green canisters. The system is super easy to use and it fired up my two-burner stove for a weekend of cooking and my fire-ring every night with more juice to spare. The fire-ring is key since I run into burn bans a lot in the summer. The case is awesome and has daisy chain webbing loops on the outside where I attach some cooking utensils, and will use them to secure to my rig outfit this summer. The padded handle makes it easy to carry and the overall case just looks dope. The lid and sides are either padded or reinforced and I'd have no concerns about durability. Its definitely is well-made. All-in-all, I'm psyched about the Gas Growler. I'll never use those throw-away canisters again. Its my new camp kit fave.

The size is perfect for our needs. Small enough to not take up too much room but large enough to last. It's easy to transport with the included carry case. Very well made and I'm sure it will last us for a very long time. Way easier than the small 1 lb gas bottles and less waste. It's an investment!

I bought this tank and went to fill it up. Nothing happened. Tank would not accept the propane at the fill station. I ordered another one which worked fine, first try. I went to return the first one, went through the steps in the Amazon App, and after telling them it was defective they suggested I contact Ignik support, but I know how that can go, so I just wanted to return it, and clicked the “Return Options” button, which immediately disappeared once I clicked on it, and nothing happened. So I then called Ignik’s phone number listed in the Amazon support, and it just said “Sorry, no one is available to take your call. Please leave a message.” I have no time to waste right now. I hung up and went back to the amazon app, started a chat with its useless AI chat bot, which informed me THIS ITEM IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN! WHAT?!? So I requested Amazon call me, and the agent told me the same thing, but that as a ONE TIME COURTESY they would refund me and I should dispose of the defective item. I took them up on this offer, but have wasted almost an hour that I REALLY needed to be doing other things. I’m REALLY hoping the other one I have keeps working, and that this company figures out their quality control issue, as it seems like a great product that I can’t wait to use with my Wok burner tailgating/camping.

No issues filling, but have only used it once so far. I'll update the review if I have issues in the future. I used it with the Ignik FireCan, the basic one. Ran a fire about 3 hours a day. I also used it for cooking 2 meals a day. After 3 full days still had about half a tank left It's a excellent size for camping. Doesn't take up much room and provides plenty of propane. The build quality seems good as well.

¿Es un capricho? ¿Podrías comprarte un tanquecito en la ferretería trupper de la esquina y serviría igual? La respuesta es sí! Lo que separa este tanque de los demás y por lo que pagas es el estuchito que trae. La calidad es de primera, costuras, cierre, alcolchonado, manija y diseño. Se ve bien padre a un lado de la estufa o calentador en el camping y no arruina las fotos con el coso de metal que tendrías de otro modo (con dinero en el bolsillo). Solo lo he llenado una ves en la gasera de la colonia y no tuvieron problema en llenarlo. Por lo que investigue, este tanque tiene mecanismos de seguridad internos “adicionales” a un tanque normal y si lo llenan con demasiada presión puede que bote el seguro y se bloquee el suministro. “No es un error, es una característica” Si sucede al perecer tienes que pegar el tanque fuertemente contra el piso para botar el sistema. Por eso es que este tanque no tiene 5 de 5 estrellas, al parecer a la gente le sucede y cree que el tanque es defectuoso. Pero (también) al parecer esta muy bien documentado en la pagina de la marca porque puede suceder y como solucionar. Por suerte no a sucedido.

The tank arrived faulty and started leaking as soon as we filled it up. Beware of gas leakage. This is a very dangerous product defect. The case is great quality though.
