Very sturdy. I expected it to be thinner and I’m so glad it’s not. Very strong. The pointed side is SHARP so be careful. You can easily damage your nail. This is not for people with an unsteady hand or younger people. It really is sharp. Helps me a ton with cuticle management.

Love this tool. Well made and the perfect weight so it doesn't slip out of your hand while using it. Also has a bumpy texture to the shaft of the tool to make gripping easier. The spoon end works well too as you can scale off any imperfections on the surface of the nail. I am an old nurse, used to work in the OR and I like my tools to have that texture that makes them better for gripping and for handing off to the surgeon. This tool is not chintzy for sure so you would be well served for having it.
