AA Restaurant Guide 2019 (AA Lifestyle Guides) Paperback – 24 Sept. 2018

So they obviously listened to the universally very negative customer feedback on the appalling, useless little 2018 edition and for 2019 they have thankfully reverted to the previous large and more detailed format. However for some obscure reason they have decided to leave out the county maps. This may not sound much, but it's a seriously major inconvenience when visiting an unfamiliar area and one just wants a guide to decent nearby restaurants. You have to look individually at each and every entry to find the name of the town or postcode, then go to google maps to find out whether it's just round the corner or tens of miles away at the opposite end of the county. Great for locals who know the area and just want to see the reviews and gradings of their local restaurants, but pretty useless as a guide for tourists or travelers, which surely are the vast majority of the "Automobile Association" customers. We will definitely not purchase in future years unless the maps are reintroduced.

The 2018 AA Restaurant Guide was a waste of money. This is an improvement. One and two rosette establishments once again have some description of their offerings. However, there are no maps ( which I always found much easier to glance at when travelling), no directions to premises, no e-mail addresses and much less information regarding opening times, menus and wine prices. It's worth £10, but could be so much better if the original format used up to 2017 was re-instated!

After last years disater in chance of format back to the previous style.Easy to use and probably in my view the best of the recognised guides - Michelin and Good Food Guide being the others.

The new version is missing the maps. The main way i use this is to work out where i'm going. I then look at the maps to find restaurants in the areaThe lack of maps make it very hard to use the new guide
