Solid Pad
I recently purchased the NEIKO 11142A Zirconia Flap Discs, and I have to say, they exceeded my expectations. The quality of these discs is impressive—they're durable and hold up well under high pressure and heat. I used them for grinding and sanding metal, and they performed flawlessly, removing material quickly and leaving a smooth finish. The angled Type 29 design is particularly useful for shaping edges and grinding contours. It feels like the discs were designed with precision in mind. The fiberglass backing plate is another great feature—it absorbs vibrations and prevents smearing, which makes the whole process smoother and more efficient. Overall, these flap discs are a fantastic value for the price. If you're looking for reliable and high-performing discs for your angle grinder, I highly recommend giving these a try.

A Descent Quality Flapper Disc
These are descent quality discs. So far I've only used one, but no issues. Some reviewers mention it making blue dust which made me hesitant to buy these. I did not experience that at all, just normal metal dust. They have good abrasive qualities and cut down weld material quickly, slightly above average for a flapper. Probably not as long lasting as some more expensive discs but wearing reasonably well. I think they are a good buy and get the job done.

Flap disc
These flap discs are excellent quality. They cut smoothly, last longer than the cheaper discs I’ve used, and don’t wear down quickly even on tougher metals. Great value for the price, and they fit my grinder perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone doing metal fabrication or welding work.

Decent quality for the price. Nice for home use.
I used to work at a hydraulic crane manufacturing company, and had to purchase the flap discs for the welders. We used a lot of types, and eventually they settled on some really expensive brand. This isn't that brand. From my personal use, I'd say they're pretty middle of the road. But for the price, you can get way more of them than you would at the hardware stores. If you're looking for something that gets the job done, and doesn't hurt the pocket book, this is the purchase for you. If you're looking for the stuff the cuts the absolute best, and needs changing the least often: Keep looking. For my purposes, I used it on concrete (just to clean up an edge a little. It definitely tears these things up as you'd expect), some wood (OSB, MDF, and some standard 2x4s, but no plywood...Sorry!). Also used it on some metal a little bit, and even though it did fray the flaps a bit, they held up pretty well. I'd say it works well on wood, and acceptably on metal. Don't expect you're going to get much use of it on concrete (from my experience anyway).

Flap disk.
I will never use a hard grinding disk for sharpening my lawn mower blades again. After using the flap disk. Super good product.
