BalanceFrom GoYoga All-Purpose 1/2-Inch Extra Thick High Density Anti-Tear Exercise Yoga Mat with Carrying Strap

Decided to buy this mat as I was getting a bit sore from being on the hard floor. I bought this to help with exercises I have started to do for anterior pelvic tilt and sacroiliac joint pain. This mat has been great so far. The thickness of the mat is excellent, and has a sort of "gel" feeling to it, making it much more comfortable. The mat has a good grip to it also so shouldn't move when exercising, I placed it down on a generally slippery floor and tried to get the mat to move around whilst standing up, but was unable to get it to move at all really. The Velcro tie/handle for it is also handy for being able to roll it up nice and quick, as well as carrying and storing it. One thing that would be good to see in a future version for me personally is for it to be just ever so slightly wider, even just 10cm. This may not be for everyone though. Definitely recommend for someone buying their first mat, and for people looking for a nicely padded, inexpensive and grippy exercise mat for the house.

I have had one of these yoga mats in the past but wanted an extra one for when both of us workout! These mats are great, lovely and soft and thick which helps the back for floor work definitely worth every penny! Strap is great for keeping mat in place for manageable storage in between uses.

I bought this mat to take to a Beginners' Pilates class. It is comfortable to lie on during the class but because it is thicker than the mats that the other people in the class have it is much bulkier than theirs when it is rolled up. This makes it a little awkward since I travel by bus to the class. However the quality of the mat seems fine.

Overall this is a very good mat, hence the 5 stars. That said, I really didn't want to be one of those people complaining that their "EXTRA THICK" mat is in fact 'too thick' but that's the case for this one, for me. I simply cannot do yoga/exercises on those super-thin mats as they hurt when I'm on the floor, so thought I needed a mega thick one. This one is VERY thick, and really too big to transport to yoga class. So, I use this one at home, and I ordered another one (6in thickness) for yoga class. Perfect combination! So, if you want an at-home mat and like a cushioned experience, then this is fine. If you want a mat that you can carry across town to yoga class, it'll probably be too big.

It's a bit too large to be portable. If you're carrying to a class, just keep that in mind. Other than that, a good, spongy mat.

This has taken a beating and it keeps on coming back!. The extra thick density helps a lot to offset wear and tear. I've brought thinner yoga mats in the past and they've proved useless when actually working out because they have been comfortable to use. I've also ( by mistake) left heavy items on this mat over a couple of days and it's caused a bit of squishing, but I've been pleasantly surprised to find the mat regains its original form quickly. Grips the floor nicely, not too much slipping about. Strap is useful to transport around.

Mat is great, very thick which is great for me as I'm a beginner but may be too thick for certain people or exercises. Grips very well to the ground and the carry strap works perfectly. Very happt and would definitely recommend as an all-purpose exercise mat.

What you would expect from a yoga mat. Very comfortable and cushioned especially when im doing planks (normally i feel pain on my elbows but this mat is very soft). Very easy to store away when not in use. Highly recommend.

Love it never used to worry about having a mat when I do my exercises for my back . It is absolutely so much better with it.

Never received the Carrying Strap and Yoga Blocks with my delivery. Mat is long, but a bit narrow. Thick ess is ok
