**Update 2025** I have had this fan for a VERY long time now. Everything is still just as wonderful as when I first got it. I am still making room for it in my small office because it is perfectly doing its job. It is still quiet and no one on my calls can hear a fan droning in the background because it is so so quiet. It is still so quiet that I would/could forget to turn it off from time to time. The Rowenta "Turbo Silence" fan series is the best i've had. **update** I have had this fan for a while and some of the quirks I discovered probably needed sharing. If you have one of these, you’ll know there is some assembly involved. The ring you hand tighten to install the back part of the metal blade guard, can become loose. If this happens it will lead to vibrations that make a “ringing” noise or a “electric motor humming” noise. Which was noticeable when in whisper mode. I resolved the hum/ringing by snugging up the hand nut a little tighter. That got me back in business. Silent again. **original** The pandemic has closed my local office down and I am a remote worker now. I made a walk in closet my new home office. With the computer in there, plus me, it gets toasty. I first got a fan from Costco. It blew lots of air and sounded like a bandsaw doing it. People could hear it in the background on calls, so I needed a a silent fan. This was it. The base is about 2/3 of the Costco pedestal fan and much heavier. It stays upright and doesn’t wobble. The “whisper” mode is just enough airflow without any noise. The remote is quite good and I like that this has a remote controlled oscillation, I don’t have to touch the fan to do anything but tilt it. Worth it. I wouldn’t have ever paid this much for a fan before but it was totally worth it.

Best fan I have ever owned. I am so happy with my purchase and will buy another one or two. It is very well made I would say heavy duty but just the same size as the other floor fans but built stronger and better. It is super quiet even on the highest speed which is five. It also has remote escalation which is great and when you raise or lower the fan it is very easy and has a pin instead of a nob so you don't have to tighten it and it stays in place. It blows air very well and is cool. I recommend this fan to all and give it a ten out of ten. Thank you Amazon for another great product.

I have a lot of fans but saw this one in a “best of” listing that seemed credible, then went through the comments here. I have central air but I run hot and often didn’t feel cool enough upstairs in my bedroom, even with a Vornado and a generic pedestal fan aimed right on me. I bought the white pedestal Rowenta and have been comfortable ever since. It really is cooler. And extremely quiet. The various setting are great, and I love the little remote and use it all the time. I’d dreaded summer coming due to hot sleeping and can’t believe I found such a well designed, solid fan that really made a difference. It costs more than my other fans, but they all seem worthless now, although I’ll still use them for circulating air in certain rooms.
