Buy this one, not the SG-100
I have an older Sangean Waterproof Radio and the buttons sometimes do things they shouldn't, so I wanted to replace it. I saw the SG-100 and the cheaper H205. They look identical and after studying the specs, they were identical except the SG-100 said it was about 1 inch wide and the H205 was over 3 inches. I decided to buy the more expensive SG-100 for the slimmer profile. When it arrived, I was kind of not surprised that it wasn't slimmer at all and was the same 3 inches as this one. I then bought the H205 and compared the two. They are identical, even running the same software version P01. Not only that, the cheaper H205 was manufactured in 2024 and the more expensive SG-100 in 2021. This is a no brainer...buy the cheaper, newer H205. Sound quality is fine for what I use it for...listening to news and sports in the bathroom.

Radio
I could swing the price I think it was worth that more or less it's a nice radio it works great on a little hook out on my back patio or I don't have to worry any longer about it getting wet (must use batteries not AC plug if you're going to be outdoors)

Solidly built
In a world of super cheap, lowest common denominator consumer electronics, this thing is a breath of fresh air. Let's jump in.Pros:-Solid, thick plastic construction, with rubber gaskets, and it's heavy, doesn't feel cheap at all. Even the packaging it ships in feels well-made.-Good reception on all bands, including AM and WX, one of the best-receiving radios I have used. It picks up marginal FM stations my other radios cannot. Adjusting the pigtail antenna makes this easier.-Simple controls, with easy-to-setup presets. Clock, alarm, sleep timer, weather alert mode, all good.-External power option to avoid running batteries down (used outside the shower, of course)-Runs on common D cell batteries. No stupid USB charging, no worries about proprietary cells that wear out after 2 years with no replacement to be found. Basic D cells, the way it should be.Cons:-No headphone jack or Bluetooth connectivity. Not really needed for a shower radio, but nice when using it outside the shower.-The supplied nylon strap is fine, but may be the weak link in the future if it gets dry rotted. The attachment points, however, are strong and may allow you to attach a stronger strap or chain if desired.-The external power wall wart has to be purchased separately if you really want one.It easily handles getting splashed on with water, but I'm not sure I'd deliberately submerge it in a tub or pool. I hang it from a towel hook in the bathroom and always wipe it down when I'm done. I don't know if it can get moldy, but I figure wiping it down keeps me from learning the hard way.I like this thing so much I'm considering buying a second one to use in another room in my house. It also feels like it's the kind of thing that is too nice to stay in production, so maybe get an extra for good measure. I can remember the 80s when you could buy decent electronics that were affordable and well-made, this seems like a throwback to that era.I would like to see a non-shower version of this radio with more external interface options, such as a headphone jack and an external antenna connection. The electronic guts are a solid platform for a whole line of radios.I recommend this radio.

Good Radio
Radio is simple and easy to understand and use. The speaker isn't the highest quality so if you are thinking the one speaker is going to be way above average please don't. If you take it for what it is then it should be fine. I have this radio in my bathroom and its fine. We aren't listening to concerts on it so it fits the bill.

Very durable and worth the price!
This shower radio is much heavier than I expected, but the hook base that comes with it has stayed in place firmly since purchase (many months). I like the digital tuning and volume, making keeping the signal easy. I'm also impressed that it doesn't drain the batteries as fast as other shower radios I've used. Well worth investing more in a better quality product! I've never used the weather radio, so can't speak to that feature.

Worth the steep price! Don’t look any further.
I can’t emphasize enough how good the build quality of this radio really is. At first I had doubts about how good this radio actually is, and why was it priced so high? But trust me, it’s worth it. From the packaging & presentation to the solid feeling buttons and enclosure, this unit is worth every penny.

Waterproof radio
I use it in the shower and it works great. The batteries last a long time also. I’ve had it for over a month and the batteries still show fully charged. It is used about 30 minutes every day.

Excellent for the shower!!!
I got it for the wife for the shower. She loves it. If a commercial comes on she changes the station instantly.
