So far, so good. This is a nicely engineered unit which is something I have come to expect over the years from Skil. The quick release/attach for the blades is wonderful and works with all my existing collection of industry standard blades. A grooved guide roller resists stressing the blade if you push too hard and helps prevent breakage. An interesting stroke modulation control facilitates adaptation to different types of substances you are sawing through. As with most tools, and power tools especially, use eye and hearing protection. You only get two of each. This Skil isn't noisy but why take chances?

De entrada puedo decir que es una maravilla y estoy encantado! Por ahí leí unos comentarios en contra, muchos a favor y para mí es perfecta. Primeramente comentar que es muy ligera aun con la batería Es súper cómoda para usar, para bloquear o desbloquear Tiene luz y una funcion para que quite el polvo del camino por dónde va cortando, créanme que estás funciones son una maravilla, ves por dónde pasa tu sierra y la marca guía. Por otro lado tiene diferentes modos de oscilación para los diferentes cortes de diferentes materias, cosa que es súper buena. No es para corte recto pero en mis pruebas me ha gustado mucho el como han quedado, he cortado madera de pino, MDF y todo perfecto Tiene un gatillo con velocidad variable que es maravilloso para todos tus cortes Incluye batería, herramienta, cargador, 2 sierras de diente fino y diente más grueso y debo decir que la batería es una chulada, la ocupe para diferentes cosas y me duró bastante incluso la cargue antes de que se terminará (porque tiene indicador de carga en la batería) y todo perfecto. Hablando de la batería igual cargauy rápido y por ahí leí un comentario de que si se te fregaba era imposible conseguí una y nada más falso, aquí en Amazon las consigues, y el precio es el promedio de otras baterías. Algo que no incluye y hubiera estado bien pero por el precio no se reprocha es una bolsa para transportarla. Yo la recomiendo al 100%, me ha encantado y los materiales se ven duraderos y con buena construcción.

I have a skil electric lawnmower that uses two 20v batteries. This saw uses that same battery. I dumped my 30 year old corded saw for this. Love it!! Cordless is the way to go. It's a home run for me.

A tough little jig saw well worth the price. Each truck has oneand they stand up to ham fisted helpers, not as tough as the Dewalt or Milwaukee but also not three the time the price. Long battery life and complete with battery and charger the price can't be beat. It stands up to the bouncing around in a truck and with good quality blades it'll cut as well as big name and big price tag saws. For the homeown, it a no brainer, best bang for the buck.

Works as anticipated. I like SKIL products and also have a SKIL compound Mitre saw.
