Excellent for women with wide feet - great quality - good sound - comfortable
I wear a women's 9 wide width E size shoe, and the women's Bloch tap shoe was too narrow. So I bought the men's shoe in a size 8 and it's a perfect fit. I have narrow heels compared to the wide front of my foot, so I was worried the heels of these shoes might slip off, but they don't. They're very comfortable and make a fantastic sound. The tap dance teacher noticed it the first class, that I was making a better, more definitive sound than with my first set of cheaper tap shoes. They're also just beautiful to look at and I'm proud to be wearing them in class. I saw other, similar quality shoes selling for $350 or more.

Fits true to size!
Great shoe that fits true to size! Even though I am a beginner the tap sounds are great and these require little to no break in!

Excellent, well-made shoes.
I first used another more popular, less expensive brand, but the heel came off within nine months of use. After some research, I found that Bloch were highly recommended. These are excellent tap shoes. They are well-made (they have been used heavily for almost two years, and they still look great) and have a nice weight. They make clean, distinct taps. I highly recommend these!

Love These!
These tap shoes are fantastic and well worth the money. I absolutely LOVE them. They’re a fair bit heavier than most taps because they have very large taps, thicker wood base, and a more robust toe box. As a result, they take a bit of getting used to and a couple days to break in, but once you adjust to them, they produce a crystal clear, deeper sound when dancing that is really impressive. They also come with separate rubber grips, which you’ll want to take to a cobbler if you want them installed properly without damaging the shoes.

Professional Tap Shoes
These are super high quality professional tap shoes. There’s almost no difference between the men’s & the women’s in this style - just fyi. Buy them based on your foot measurement & you should be good. These are leather & though they’re pretty stiff when you first get them, they’re very comfortable after being broken in & will last for years. JSams are heavier than beginniner shoes & produce an amazing sound. They even have really great resale value in case your tapper out grows them

What an upgrade!
This is a great shoe. It fits like a glove. I ordered my regular street shoe size. Nice soft leather, strong base and a very good sound. My capezios are in the closet.

Sizing for women
I wear a women's 8.5/9 street shoe with a slightly wide foot and had the ladies Jason Samuel's in a size 9.5. The men's size 7 fit me great! These taps make a real difference compared to more affordable pairs. The sound definitely makes them worth the expense (especially if you catch your size on sale like I did)! I bought my first pair in 2021 and danced in them probably 6 hours a week at minimum and they lasted me until I bought this pair, almost 4 years! Worth the money and a joy to tap in 😃

Nice shoes … but don’t expect laces
Ordered the Mens Jason Samual Smith tap shoes online as every store was sold out. These tap shoes arrived in good condition, although not in the original box. Instead, a generic shoe cardboard box was used, and printed on the inside, a statement that the original box was damaged in transportation. Also, shoelaces were not included. I have purchased these same shoes in store (previously), and the shoes are supposed to include ties. I’m curious if they left out the laces as they were lost when either Amazon or the seller repackaged the shoes. Idk. Missing the laces isn’t normally a big deal, but just a pain when I had paid $$$ for a good pair of tap shoes, and now gave to go out and get laces which should have been included originally. Fit = 1/2 size to full size larger than described. Ordered size 9, fits like a size 10.
