I was "falling away" on several of my shots so I purchased the Balance Rod to help me fix the problem. The benefit was IMMEDIATE!. I went form shooting high 80's to shooting several low 80's and even a 79. The only change was having more balance in my swing. I highly recommend this. Definitely cheaper than an hour with a golf pro.

What i noticed for myself is that this doesn't "fix" anything or "change" anything... but it lets you feel and see how you are really shifting your weight and your timing with your feet. i couldn't believe how badly i was shifting my weight till i used this. You don't need to take it to a golf course, just swing a club at home while you're standing on it. Everyone is different but for me this was really eye-opening. I immediately made a few changes in my swing and i'm hitting much easier and better. ....Like one of the other reviewers said, its cheaper and easier than going to a pro.

Excellent teaching device for golf balance. But. A little too thick. Toes do not hit the ground when stood on. If they did. Would be great.

Totally worth the purchase. Folds easily to fit in the bag! The moderate grip-ness feels good with golf shoes or tennis shoes. Just the right size to know the balance and feel is working. I tried un-successfully to build my own twice and looking back - should have just paid for it!

Seems to be a good product for balance. A little over priced though.

Really cool product but it just doesn’t last. I get about 20 swings with it and then the foam (pool noodle?) loses its form. Needs to be stronger material to maintain the positioning under your feet in my opinion.

Pretty pricey for a canvas tube, some velcro, plastic, and foam. Most golf aids are pricey for some reason, however. One of the plastic inserts needed trimming to fit all the way inside the velcro closure properly. As far as effectiveness, it seems to give balance feedback immediately after stepping off, and then the feeling goes away. You will find the raised height difference will change ground distance, I don't know if I would even try to hit balls with this product for that reason. Swinging a weighted club/orange whip while focusing on balance would probably be the extent of my use.
