It does not state that it need refrigeration. However, I keep it in the refrigerator. Dogs don't seem to mind the cold squirts on their food.

Q: How is this now double the price it was two months ago? Bought the 64 oz. in April, looking to order again and it is nearly double? Come on.

I have contacted the manufacturer in regards to this in the past. I was told that, on years when salmon is in low supply, Grizzly will stop production of the larger 64oz containers. When this happens, unauthorized sellers will try to capitalize by significantly raising the price. I was advised to purchase only through authorized sellers. I usually purchase the 64oz Pollock oil instead during these "bad" years. Hope this helps.
