This wistle is loud! It can ring your ears if your in tight quarters. Perfect as an emergency whistle the sound does travel. It may take a little more effort blowing then some but unless your on oxygen you should have a problem. I actually used this to train my new outdoor cat to come when I blow the wistle. For two days I would blow the wistle only when I gave her cat treats. Now she associates the whistle with treats and she comes running from great distances. She only gets treats when the whistle blows. Iv seen her come running from down the street. She always shows up within 1-2 minutes of me doing a couple short burst of the whistle. Amazing
