great price since this is older technology, but perfectly acceptable performance for my three level 3500 square-foot house. easy set up and clear instructions. Hardware seems to be good quality and provides adequate bandwidth and reach for regular household Internet use (no kids gaming or downloading massive video files, etc.) Netgear keeps trying to upsell VPN , monitoring and firewall services, but I already have those separately. Very pleased.

Easy to install and get running. Knowingly, I opted for this wifi-6 system because I was replacing a very old, type-N, router. So, even this product is a great technology upgrade. The Amazon Black Friday price also made the jump to a Mesh system very affordable. My home is over 4000 sq. ft. and I also have an out-building with a buried Ethernet cable running to it. So, I need to add at least one satellite to extend the wi-fi service to it. I'm only giving it 4-stars rating because I'm disappointed that I have not been able to find a compatible satellite unit to expand the new mesh system. Its looking like I will have to purchase another complete system (router with 2-satellites) just to get the one satellite that I need. I have not been running this Mesh system very long, but the hardware is probably worthy of 5-stars though.

I replaced an older set of Orbi's (slower) with this new set. They are must faster and give me the full band width of my provider through out my home. Setup was easy as I had a learning curve from my original set. I did experience one problem: I have a long house. My internet connection comes into one end of the house. I set the main router there and put two satellite units inline down the centerline of the house. The second satellite unit (furthest away from the main unit) does not connect to the intermediate placed unit. Rather it connects to the main router--sometimes with 'good' reception and other times with 'poor' reception. After a couple of hours with Orbi tech help, I found out that the satellite units always tries to connect to the main router, even if another satellite is providing a stronger signal--supposedly 'this provides a faster connection.' Do not understand why this is the case since I do get a 'poor' connection to the main router at times on the second satellite unit. Looks like I wasted my money on getting a second satellite unit. Even with this problem, I am getting full bandwidth throughout the house.

Be careful with the like new items. Mine was already registered by a previous customer and that voided the warranty. Would be nice of Amazon to inform the customer of this and Netgear would not honor my receipt as proof of purchase. It's already hooked up with some help from Netgear technical support because it was previously registered and it works great. To lazy to hook up a new one, so I kept it. Update: It ended up dieing after a couple of months and Netgear would not honor any warranty and it was to late to return to Amazon, so I just threw it out. Lesson learned do not buy like new electronics from Amazon warranties are voided.

There are three buildings on our property… workshop, garage and house! For years we’ve tried to get a system that would deliver to all three buildings. We tried Ethernet cables, range extenders… you name it only to find out it was the router that wasn’t delivering! It was actually a technician that suggested this NetGear system… ORBI 660 and it did the trick! My husband and I are not tech wizards and although the instructions were straightforward we had the neighborhood teen tech wizard come by and he had it up and running in less than 30 minutes! Nice looking and unobtrusive we don’t even see it! No more router and we have a perfect connection in all three buildings! No more buffering, pixelization and screen freeze… 🥶…! It may seem a bit pricey at first but the anxiety of constant disruption when watching the news, a movie or streaming is GONE! It’ll pay for itself in about 16 months (no more router) sooooo yep… after 2 months of great reception… we couldn’t be more pleased! Also… it was delivered in lass than 24 hours!!!
