Smashing ...
A quality piece of kit that makes pressing meat balls into burger patties easy. No flexing and a sharp bevelled edge all round make it easy to work with whilst the stainless steel material seems to be of excellent quality. I always hand wash it because of the wooden handle and its an easy clean up. Makes you look like a BBQ expert...

Fish turner
Nice and flexible. Gets in under the fish nicely.

Sratches stuff.
When new it's sharp. Used it on a stainless steel wok and it scratched the bottom. Took it outside and ran it over the house bricks to take the edge off and seems fine now. Brought for my Carbon Steel frying pan and it's great for sliding under eggs. Stay away from non-stick stuff and this is the perfect kitchen tool.

Not Bad, Cod Be Better
it's a brill-iant Fish slice, it has a little less flex than i'd like, you also have to be super careful with Teflon or Non-Stick pans as the leading edge is really quite sharp. It flips fish, burgers, sausages .. it flips pretty much anything you put in a pan. But wait, there's more! Don't be fooled into thinking it just flips food, its good at removing food from it's cooking receptacle too.. It's particularly good with Enchilada's! A 5-star rating isn't sufficient for this Fish Slice. Everyone in our household has commented on its appearance: "Ooh, is that a new fish slice?" - Mum "It's not bad, bigger than the old one - be careful with it on the Le Crueset pans" - Dad *Sniff-Sniff, Mild Growl* - Dog "Check out the new kid, He's fancy" - Cutlery draw

Almost excellent, let down by ergonomics
This fish slice is very good at getting under things, as it should be! Steel construction means it can have a thinner edge and maintain rigidity as compared to silicone equivalents. So full marks for that. Slightly let down by the finish on the handle, which has rough edges and very little in the way of finishing oil, making it unpleasant to hold in the hand.

Buy one with a central handle
Well made and beautiful bit of kit but….. it’s almost too large to be useful on a densely packed bbq. The other negative is the handle being off centre which really makes it only useful when trying to lift what you’re incinerating from the left side.

Perfect for omelettes and fish
Lovely and thin at the edge so you can get underneath delicate food, not too long so very nice to use

Excellent spatula. Bought it for use with my cast iron skillet mainly. It’s flexible but sturdy, nice wooden handle, and have helped me make yummy pancakes, omelettes, amongst other things. The top edge is a bit sharp so be careful when scraping the pan, but it definitely helps scrape stuck on food off the cast iron. When it arrived, I used a food grade mineral oil to oil the wooden handle to protect it from water damage. I imagine I will have to do this from time to time but it’s not a big deal. It’s not the most expensive of the choices out there but for the price, it’s great value, a handsome spatula, and has become an indispensable tool in my kitchen!

I’ve been using cheaper ones for years and finally upgraded, great decision. This is perfect for smash burgers since it’s so sturdy, no bending or flexing. Feels great in the hand and does what it’s supposed to do.

I’m a professional chef and needed a long turner. I went with Mercer because their tools are strong, reliable and classic. I’ve snapped over a dozen meat turners smashing burgers. No one is breaking this guy. Highly recommended. Chef Chris
