In order to clean behind the fridge, this is a must. It may be challenging getting the front edges on the shield, but once done, the ability to move the HEAVY fridge is great. But most of all it protects and does not scratch our laminate floor when moving around.

Once installed, this worked very well to move a heavy cook stove over a wood floor, without scratches. However you have to be very careful sliding it under the appliance. Thus the 4 stars for "Easy to install". If there is any dust or particles beneath, you need to make sure they don't get under the slide and scratch the floor. So some floor cleaning may be needed under the appliance before sliding it in. Once in place, it worked great.

I used this item in the past and it worked great. However it did not work with our new refrigerator. The wheels must be farther apart than our old one and it wouldn’t work at all. Glad I ordered through Amazon for their great return policy. Make sure you measure where the feet or legs are before you order.

This is essentially a large piece of slippery plastic, that lets you drag heavy appliances around so you don't screw up your new floor. Got it at request of mover who had to reinstall the fridge. Worked fine. Seems a little over priced for what it is.

After having damaged our kitchen hardwood floor when moving our new refrigerator into place I said “never again!” I found this “floor protector” on-line and it was a perfect solution for future moves. I is an excellent size for a 36” wide refrigerator and is long enough to allow moving the appliance out far enough to get in behind it if necessary. It stores easily for future use and is a sound investment for those wanting to protect their floors from any damage.

It works well but if you get something under it as your moving things it can scuff the floor. It would be a breeze on carpet though.

As a repairman this is a must. This will help you to stop scratching someone's floor
