Sketchbook-Black Blank Book-5 1/2 x 8 1/4"

This is one of my favorite sketchbooks: good paper for pencil or for ink; compact size without being too tiny (bigger than a moleskine). But this time when I ordered it, somebody in the process didn't look at the size, so they sent me the next size smaller. Amazon's return system is flawless: They had a new journal in the mail to me withing minutes, minutes! It was in my mailbox the next day.Amazon gets attacked around here for being responsible for the "demise of local businesses." I used to feel guilty when I bought online instead of locally. But there's a reason for Amazon's success, and it's simple: treat the customer like royalty. Many local business could learn from this model. As for me, I'm an Amazonian.

hey, this is the end all say all of a drawing or note book. when they come up for sale i buy them; great for pen and ink or scrap booking. ive filled up maybe 20 in journals with ball point, felt point ect. i do not thing the page is thick enough for water color but if you primed it i bet acrylics would work fine.

Love this sketch book! The paper is good for pencil sketches. It doesn't stay open great though. I have tried to crack the spine, but it still closes unless held open.

I purchased the 5.5 x 8.25 version of this sketch book and I am really liking it, It is the perfect size for carrying around, and the pages are durable and it is pretty easy to erase stuff from it. The main thing that I like about this sketch book is that the paper is incredibly smooth. It is even more smooth than bristol paper so it is very pleasant to draw on.

The quality of this sketchbook is unparalleled. I got the 2 pack. I could not be happier. I was buying department store sketchbooks. I bought a few from a local hobby store also. I am now using those as my warm up books. If reading this review buy these. For the price I paid at department store for soft cover sketchbook I got 2 of these.

I use these for my journal. They fit inside a leather journal jacket. They are well made and have high quality paper--the ink doesn't bleed through. It's blank paper--no lines.

Love this sketchbook! Paper is smooth like copy paper, but thicker, and the book feels very well made. Handles pencil, pen, colored pencil and light watercolor washes well. I will be buying more of these!

Why are you reviewers saying this can handle markers?? Look that! And it isn't even a wide tip. Can't imagine what that would look like. And. It feels like stiff newspaper. Hopefully you will see my review of plan on doing and journaling with this. Because you won't.

Amazing sketchbook. Such smooth white papers. A dream to sketch on. I'm using it to practice basic anatomy. The pen just glides on the paper. There is no bleading or see-through with any kind of ink pen. No, it's not meant for watercolours but light washes won't hurt the pages. The binding is solid. And the number of pages is plenty and satisfactory. Buy it and try it!
