Dee Henderson's O'Malley series
I just finished all of the O'Malley series a few days ago. I read all of them and really liked each one. She got you hooked on the Prequel. Thank goodness for the Kindle so I could immediatly start the next one as I finished one. She writes well, and I believe does her research. The Protector was a fireman. Since I was married to a fireman it felt right, she got terms right and the jesting back and forth between fellow comrades, as well as the teasing/testing of police and other government agencies is well known in all Fire Departments. A nobel mission to find an arsonist, but extremely tense when it is one of their own. The city of Chicago changing fire districts is one of the things governments all over do and can do more harm than money saved, It was a real joy to have found this series and this author. I would recommend each book of the series--they can be read (and probably enjoyed) singly but I would recommend them to be read in order,

Best of the OMalley series so far!
Best of the O' Malley series so far! and that's saying a lot. This book is about Jack O'Malley, a firefighter and brother who smooths every situation with humor but is very serious under the pranks. He's an unforgettable character, and I had this odd feeling of being proud to have known him, which is ridiculous since he's a fictional character. But that's how these books are. This one has a mystery that I was racing with the characters to try to solve. But like the other books in this series, the characters and relationship developments are masterfully done, and its hard to put the book down. Jack's youngest sister may be dying of cancer and his inability to protect her from this is very painful. Cassie, the firefighter recovering from life threatening injuries, and struggling to adjust to life with her new scars and limitations is a truly heroic figure. Read it.

Deeper Story
The Protector is a deeper book than Dee Henderson's previous books. I always enjoy reading these books because the characters are well developed and deep. In this book we get to know another of the O'Malleys...Jack. We also meet Cassie a fellow firefighter who was severly injured in a nursing home fire. In this story we see the fire department plagued with a string of arson fires aimed at the firedepartment itself...the arsonist seems to be determined to make a point. But what is the point? As the arsonist escalates it becomes a race to find out who it is, is it one of their own? The only thing as in the first few books that I would like to see improved is the endings, the come far to quickly and far to easily resolved, though I still love these stories

Dee Henderson is a fabulpous author and you shouldn't miss her O'Malley Series
Dee Henderson is one of those writers that you never tire of reading her books!!! The series for the O'Malley's was her best!! I have the entire series on my kindle aas well as the soft books themselves. I would not part with them for anything, I have re-read this series many times, andnever tire of the books. But the Protector is one of my very favorites!! Steven is truly the protecto of the family he loves so much!!!! It is a powerful story, and is the perfecting ending to this wonderful series. Ms. Henderson puts you right in the middle of each book and you can't put it down, besides you feel a part of that wonderful family. How much more could an author do with words than that???? I very highly recommend her O'Malley series to everyone!!!

Family!
I have enjoyed Dee Henderson's books for more than a decade. Her characters are realistic and represent the struggles many (maybe even most) people wrestle with in accepting and believing that Jesus is the son of God.I actually read the entire O'Malley series years ago but truly enjoy reading them again and again.I highly recommend these books...

Jack the Fireman
The O'Malley series is very good - stories about three brothers and four sisters. They adopted each other and became a family. Protector is about Jack, fireman and his relationship with Cassie, fireman who was injured in a fire.

Another Winner
Learn how fire "breathes"and spreads and Burns! Respect it. Who Jesus Christ is, his character and the fact that you don't have to wait until you have all the answers to believe in Him. Hell showed in a very unique way, from a firefighter's first hand view. This continued series shows that in the midst of life and death struggles, God is present and faithful to the believer and unbelievers.MUST READS and IN ORDER PLEASE!!! My thanks Dee Henderson, LOVE the series!

The Protector
This was the 4th book in the O'Malley series and I am still loving them! This is the story of fun loving firefighter Jack. There are way too many fires happening in the area and they appear to be the work of an arsonist who leaves messages at each scene. We also meet Cassie, who worked with Jack until a really bad fire almost cost her her life. I loved reading the story of these two. Read and enjoy! Rachel's story is next.

What a writer
Probably one of the best set of books I have ever read. You become lost in the story and feel like you are involved with this family. You don’t have to be religious to read this collection, the story is gripping and exciting. I have recommended this collection to many people

Great book for teenagers and young adults alike.
The O'Malley series is a great set of books. I've always had a soft spot for Jack as the character with a sense of humour, and I'm glad that the author found him such a perfect romance. The books include a bit of mystery, a bit of action, lots of friendship and romance, and an example of a journey towards faith. Good for teenagers particularly.
