is the material heavy duty or light weight? I want to make jeans pants with it for outdoors work

I would classify this fabric as mid-weight. Not heavy duty like Wrangler brand.

The title says 11 ounce but the description says 8 ounce. Which is it?

8 ounces must be a weight for some different unit amount. Mine weighs roughly 11.25 ounces per square yard. It’s a medium weight that I would wear year-round here in NC, but it would not be winter wear where it snows.
