For this pair to replace one that I had purchased 8 years ago that finally gave up. To be fair it’s holding my nurse badge which has a fob for unlocking our computers and opening doors. So it gets pulled an innumerable amount of times every shift. The real never gave up. Just the plastic end piece secured the cord to the badge holder.

My old retractable lanyard broke and I was looking for one I didn't have to worry about. This one a month in feels really well built. My only criticisms of this are every once and a while I am caught off guard by how vigorous the spring inside is (it states it is rated for a lot more weight than I am using it for) and I wish there was a more low profile way to attach it such as a clip on the back or a shorter hook as it is attached to the end of my work lanyard (I also can't really fault them for this as they clearly show the product in the images I just couldn't find exactly what I was looking for).
