First impressions are good!
I took delivery of this strap today so this is first impressions only, but so far I’m very impressed. Visually, it is almost identical to the official Garmin strap. I’ve attached some photos for comparison, black being official Garmin and this ‘Green’ strap the 3rd party offering. The colour is exactly as I had expected and appears very similar to the official Garmin ‘Amp Yellow’. The first thing I noticed was the softness of the strap - super flexible but supportive and very similar to the original. The band does have a slight rubbery smell to it, but hopefully this will fade. A major concern for me was the thought of attaching a £500 watch to a £10 strap, so I have paid particular attention to the fastenings. The Quick Fit mechanism seems sturdy and is attached to the strap with small cross head screws rather than the torx screws of the original. I’ve tried to rip and twist the strap off the watch with as much force as I dare and it held tight. The buckle is attached with a standard pin rather than the large torx bar of the original which means it will inevitably be weaker. As my previous forerunner used a pin attachment this isn't a huge concern to me for running, but I might be a bit apprehensive if taking into open water before it is properly tested. Again I’ve been as brave as I can and tried to rip the buckle off but it didn’t budge. I’m sure that with enough force it could fail but so could any other normal buckle. There are two ‘keepers’ for the loose end of the strap, as on the original, complete with a nodule on the top one to slot into one of the holes. These feel slightly more flexible than on the original strap, so I’ll have to wait and see how effective they are. I’ve had 3rd party straps before where the keepers would not stay in place but hopefully these will be up to the task. As for durability, only time will tell. I will update this review if any negative points show up, but for now it’s 5 stars from me and time to choose an additional colour! EDIT: I now own 3 different coloured versions of this strap (the other two being orange and light blue) and they are all fantastic. I’ve walked, worked, slept, ran, and swam in them and have had no issues whatsoever. The slight rubbery smell mentioned above faded within a day or two and the keepers are holding the loose end of the strap just fine. The colours are solid and vibrant and they really do look good. I like that they all have black buckles rather than the silver that you find on many other offerings. The QuickFit attachments on all 3 are holding solid and are easy to open which means I can change straps in seconds, whenever the mood takes me. These straps are definitely the best 3rd party straps I’ve tried (and I’ve tried many over various devices) and in my opinion are definitely worth paying a few pounds more over other cheaper offerings.

Good quality and fits Garmin in seconds
I bought this to replace a Garmin strap which was splitting due to wear. I intended buying from the Garmin site as per usual. Strangely, this payment did not pass their "security" despite my card paying the balance. This was cancelled. I looked at this which is a fraction of the price. It is good quality and clipped onto the Fenix in seconds. It is comfortable. I wear the Garmin all the time and so far no signs of wear and tear. I would not be able to tell the difference from a Garmin strap appearance-wise.

Fair value for money
Fair value for money. The strap fits my Fenix 5 just as it should, and it seems to be of good quality. Time will tell! I don't think it's as nice a strap as the genuine Garmin one, which feels more 'rubbery' and cushioned. But then again, this strap is less than 1/2 the price of the Garmin original. Assuming it lasts well I would recommend it.

Practical
I'm sticking my head on the chopping block here but I would say better than the original Garmin strap (which usually lasts between 1-2 years before the silicone strap breaks). Comfy, tidy and a good price. We'll done you.
