Amazon Basics Memory Foam Mattress, Soft Plush Feel, 8 Inch, Twin, White/Grey

I’m really happy with this mattress. It’s very comfortable and provides great support for my back. I’ve been sleeping much better since I started using it, and I wake up without any body pain. The quality feels solid and durable, and not too firm—just perfect.

Fantastic value! Expanded properly, initial smell wasn’t too bad and very comfortable. Plush is more like medium but it’s a very supportive and comfy medium feel. Time will tell how great this mattress holds up, but so far so good. Sure beats getting ripped off at a furniture store.

I never write reviews but I sought out how to leave one for this bed. It's fantastic and it's so cheap compared to others. So comfortable. I have purchased one other bed in box before and it was a bust - so expensive and so uncomfortable. This was not the case for this mattress.

So there does seem to be quite a bit of negative reviews with this mattress and I'm going to leave my initial impressions and take them for what they're worth because of course they may change over time. So there's mostly pros with this mattress, the big one of course is it's comfortable. Bear in mind I was sleeping on an old inner spring type mattress for the last couple of years, actually it's been a bit of time since I've had a foam type mattress although the last one I had was quite expensive. But yeah very comfortable overall and just a joy to use. I got the medium firm in the full size and was very impressed with build quality as well as the comfort as I've already mentioned. Some people mention about theirs not inflating all the way, well mine did and I got the 10-in version and mine inflated fully so maybe they just got a bum one I don't know. I have one con with the mattress and that is it seems to be a little warm. Now I know it's supposed to have a cooling layer or something like that but honestly I don't notice that instead I noticed it feels a bit warm. Obviously not a bad thing this time of year with it being cold and it hasn't been an issue but I do notice it versus my old inner spring mattress that was more neutral. It didn't seem to have a temperature, but when I lay on this one I do notice I feel a little warmer. It's not really a problem for me because I don't mind feeling a little warm while I'm sleeping, to me it makes it more cozy and comfortable that type of thing, but it is something to point out, that in spite of it's cooling layer that it has it does feel a little warm when you lay on it. But yeah overall I'd give it a good four out of five stars. I mean it's a damn good mattress and I've had it about a month and the comfort is fantastic and I've been sleeping better and sleeping longer and for the money that it cost I wouldn't buy anything else. Overall my impressions are positive, I set this up and within a day and a half it expanded to its full size, some people talk about not getting the full 10 in, well just like my boyfriend if you leave it a moment it'll get to 10 in LOL I got the medium firm which I was thinking would be maybe a hair firmer than it is but it's sufficient. I slept two nights on it now and is quite comfy, you do sink in a little bit, I do weigh 210 lb so that could have something to do with it, overall very nice and very comfortable and it seems to be firm where you need it and soft where you want it. Overall I'm quite impressed I think for the price it would be hard to find another mattress this quality and I've been getting great night's sleeps on it, matter of fact I don't want to get out of bed I'm sleeping so good. My only real criticism is that it's supposed to have some sort of cooling layer but I do feel warm on it particularly overnight as I get up in the morning, of course I do tend to be a warm type person so that could have something to do with it as well.

I’m quite satisfied with this mattress. Full disclosure to others looking to this review for guidance on whether or not to buy it: I had ordered another, cheaper memory foam bed in a box compressed mattress and it was just way too firm. It was too expensive to send it back, so I have it underneath THIS mattress. I also have a memory foam mattress topper on top. So this mattress is sandwiched between a firm memory foam mattress and a soft memory foam mattress topper. I actually had two mattress toppers on because I just happened to have two, but it was way too high and just too mushy. Anyway, I digress. I really like this mattress. I like a very soft mattress but sometimes too soft seems to hurt my lower back and my joints, specifically my hips. I’ve had no issues with pain anywhere. I sleep well on this mattress. I don’t know what it’s like on its own but I know that the way I have it set up is excellent. I also know that it was super easy to set up. I dragged the box up one flight of steps by myself. I cut it open and place it on the bed on my own. It was a little difficult but I managed and it didn’t take long. It’s amazing how quickly it puffs up into a mattress. Truly amazing. I feel like I’ll have this mattress for a long time. It seems very well made / durable. I think it was worth the money. I’m happy! If you like a plush mattress and an easy and quick bed in a box, order this.

I love this mattress. I was initially skeptical about ordering my mattress from Amazon basics but it is so incredibly comfortable. I get the deepest sleep on it. For context I have been sleeping on it for a little over 2 months. Of course I am absolutely sure that there are better quality mattresses out there but for the price you’re paying you definitely get a ton of value. So far it has been pretty durable and retained its shape. I also slept on it the first night I opened it. I only really have it a few hours to grow. It has no springs of course so setup and transport was easy.

The first week it was excellent! Expanded quickly, I slept great, it was sufficiently supportive. The second week it went from excellent to good. I started noticing that the foam doesn't rebound as quick and I'm noticing weird low spots. After the third week I started noticing increasing problems. I woke up a lot more than usual. Even though I'm a light sleeper, I don't toss and turn much. Now I'm starting to frequently toss and turn. Not normal for me. For the past week or so I've been waking up with searing back pain. Like pain that feels like my back is filled with concrete that has set and can't bend forward. This back pain lasts for several hours. When I go to bed, my back feels fine. I'll wake up a few hours later with a dull pain when I must've turned in my sleep. When I wake up, it's nearly impossible to get out of bed. It hurts bad. I can barely bend to put on my shoes in the morning while sitting down, a task that has never been a problem for me. Now in all fairness, it may not be for someone my size. I'm 6'6" and 265 lbs. But still it shouldn't fail so quick. I looked this up and it's called "foam cell collapse". Pros: It'll let me wake up before my alarm due to back pain. Cons: This mattress is officially dubbed "the marshmallow of pain". Now how am I going to return this? I'm just glad I didn't get rid of my old mattress. My old mattress sucked, but it didn't cause mobility issues due to pain!

Is NOT 10 inches thick. Barely expanded to 9inches on the dot AFTER a week. its noticeably shorter than my last 10 inch bed. Kinda disappointed. Also the “plush feel” bed still feels much more firm than it should be and is definitely not a plush feel. Overall disappointing. I want my money back!! This is the SECOND ATTEMPT AT FINDING A GOOD PLUSH FOAM MATRESS. 3 stars because it’s something to sleep on i guess. I will update this review if they give me my money back which would be greatly appreciated. So frustrating
