Works very well. I've used it three times so far. It heats up the water pretty fast and warms up whatever it is you're cooking with ease. It's the perfect size for those who don't have the space for a big stove or have a stove at all. And, when not in use, you can easily tuck it away because it's so compact.While you are using it there are often these clicks and the light goes on and off. It's as if it's turning off and on but it doesn't actually turn off and remains on, however it is odd for it to click on and off like that. It doesn't bother me enough to return it, it's still a good product, it's just something to make note of.

This item is great to have around. Honestly I couldn’t have bought it at a better time. My stove top stopped working and I immediately grabbed it and cooked on it. To my surprise it cooked in half the time it takes me on my big stove top. Excellent quality great price.

The media could not be loaded. This gets pretty hot and comes in handy when there is a small pot/pan I can't use on my induction stovetop. Great to have around to make fresh percolated coffee which is what I use it for every day. Stores away easy and lightweight! Great value for the $, however, I have only used this for a few weeks so I can't speak to its longevity.

I was concerned because there was no packing material in the box.. I pointed out some missing paint around the burners. It might have been a returned item. The burners are small sized but they do the job I need them too, there is a light indicating the burner is on but no "off" on the knob so I make sure it's unplugged when I'm done using it.. I think since my kitchen range quit. It works for cooking and boiling water I use it every morning for a couple hours. I would not use it for canning because of the size of burners. I gave it a 4 star because of how it was sent to me and the scratches, not the performance..

I've been through other coil portable electric stove tops, infrared-- or whatever it's called--(that use a lot of electricity1200 watts or more and do not heat faster. The one I have but don't use actually takes much longer to heat the same 5 qrt pit of soup.), and the iron top ones (these are great when they work, but lack the finesse of heat regulation, and take longer to cool off). This 1k watt stove works perfectly. It heats up large 5 quart pots and you have to lower the temp to a 2 or so to keep a good simmer going. This is the first one I've owned that has that finesse in heat regulation. It's easy to store, and I prefer the stainless steel appearance. My only complaint is that it is a pain to clean. The coil is not moveable, so getting under it to clean overspills is a major pain.

My 45 year old Jenn Aire cooktop finally died. While researching for a new unit, I decided to purchase this until a new one can be installed. This cooktop works quickly and does an excellent job. Tonight I even put a large pot of water on to boil for pasta. Within 5 to 6 minutes, I had a large pot full of boiling water. I’ve made eggs, heated vegetables, ect all with ease. I recommend this inexpensive unit.

My stove is out, so I don't plan to repair this stove nor replace this stove because it's just too expensive. This burner is under $20 which is perfect for my frugal budget.This is my favorite kitchen appliance. I still have it since last year. It heats super fast. It doesn't take much space, so it's easy to store. It is easy to transport everywhere. It's not too heavy to carry everywhere. It's straight forward-- there is no difficult instruction to learn. There is no smoke coming out of this burner which I am happy with. Highly recommended.Please make sure to plug off when it is not in use. I don't mean to turn it off, I mean to actually plug it off. Strongly advised.

This little burner has been good so far. I do wish it would heat up a bit faster but it may be due to the long extension cored that I have it hooked up to. Which YOU SHOULD NOT DO. It seems to have some issues with staying at the same temp for a period of time. I typically have the knob set to the highest setting in order to get it hot enough but again, it may be due to the extension cord. Overall, it's a decent little burner for the price.
