AudioQuest NRG-Y3 Power Cable (1m, 1 x C13 > 1 x 3-Prong Wall Plug)

This power cord improved sound of my system. Recommended.

My tv can’t predict the future now and I didn’t wake up rich but the sound is a little better. It looks better than the flimsy cord that came with the tv.

I didn’t expect much improvement and I was blown away by the immediate difference and sound just by changing my original factory power cord to this one on my Arcam,SA 30 amplifier. I did the same on my Rel subwoofer. Running Sonus Faber tower speakers. Immediately cleaned up the sound, took out background noise, and created noticeable separation between instruments. I was a cynic and I’m completely blown away! Highly recommend.

Say what you will, these cables do precisely what they are designed to do; deliver power unimpeded and without further damage or degradation. However, with that said, these cables are cumulative. Adding one cable to your system is good, but the more you have in the chain, the more powerful they become and the more impact they have. With that said, this is a power cable. It isn't going to change your power or actively clean your power. It will deliver whatever it is given without any further noise or fluctuation. The power cables you tend to get for free, do a minimal to non-existent job of blocking incoming signals or stopping it from giving off signal. Power cables are giant antenna and attract any and all signals. Wi-Fi, Blutooth, Cel, and any other broadcasting signal. So, if you want the best possible benefit from this cable, get a line conditioner to plug it into, or at the very minimum get a hospital grade electric socket.

These cables make a noticeable difference in my stereo system!

Like my title said, I didn't want to like this cable because I knew it would cost me money in the future (via more purchases). But I've been living with my 12" JBL ES250P 400W subwoofer for over 10 years. It is full body sounding, but a little overbearing (muddy) with music. It shipped with a standard 2 prong cheap power cable. Watched some videos of audiophile power cables and decided to take the plunge on this 1m cable. Wow, the cable is thick like a snake! Immediately I noticed the bass is more accurate for music and music videos (tighter and faster). No more bloated sound bass notes. There was also a lot less humming from the subwoofer when it's supposed to be in standby due to no signal. Very impressed.

Sent it back..no improvement

People spend hundreds or even thousands on these cables and they believe that it improves sound, quality.... possibly safety. So, I bit. I replaced my perfectly fine $10 cable with this and I admit - I do sense less distortion and I feel better about it- I am mostly writing the review because the seller was awesome. WHile the product was new and worked fine, Amazon prime truly abused the packaging - they put stickers all over the box and the box was heavily handled. The seller offered me a generous discount. Great seller.

My system was already low noise, but this lowered the noise floor a bit further. It was a good addition to the system. I recommend this power cable if you’re interested in squeezing every ounce of quality out of your system.

Ces câbles sont supérieurs en tout points comparés à ceux d'origines livrés avec les appareils. Dans mon cas ils sont utilisés pour alimenter des moniteurs actifs ATC. AudioQuest continue to make good cables. Some are reasonably priced while others can get ludicrously expensive. I was just bored in the audio paraphernalia purchasing department. So I figured I'd buy this to try. Fit is excellent. Despite the size of the cable, the flexibility is better than some other ones I've tried. I'm not sure if it improves sound but it definitely doesn't hurt it in any way. Remember, even if you think you're buying "audiophile grade" power cables, they are still being plugged into a wall socket connected to builder's grade copper wire to your electrical panel. I'll likely buy more of these just for the kicks and impress my less-knowledgeable friends/houseguests.
