I like these cables and they worked well in my 2U 12-bay setup. I ended up swapping them out for SuperMicro cables only because I was trying to debug write errors in my TrueNAS zfs pool. I'm pretty positive the errors originate from the no-name backplane and not the cables, as I still received errors with the SuperMicro ones.In any other system I'd feel comfortable buying and using these.

I was getting into the habit of switching to shorter cables found off amazon, since I didn't want the normal super long 1 meter sas cables in my Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL case. Only problem was that after two-three months I would start getting the dreaded Smart Error 199 (UDMA CRC error count).So, I started looking for short cables from reputable manufacturers. These .5m cables are a little long still, but no one reputable sells a .3m version. The wire thickness seems to be the same size as the cheap "blue wire" SAS cables; however, I haven't had any CRC errors since i got these cables. Also, if you are using shucked or enterprise drives, these use Molex power so it solves the 3.3v issue that you may face with cables using Sata power.Overall, this works perfect with my LSI 9400-16i HBA and my older LSI 9300-8i HBA.

Used this in a homelab server. Was exactly the advertised length. Working good for over a month now.

Started out with a breakout cable SFF0-8643 to 4 SATA cables connected to a PCIe SATA card. The initial setup did not work for me. I could not see the drives in the Bios nor could I see them in the Unraid OS. I ordered this cable along with an SFF-8087 PCIe x4 SATA card. Saw the drives in the Bios but could not see them in the Uraid OS. Getting closer. Finally, after poking around in the Bios, I found the IOMMU setting was enabled. After I disabled the IOMMU in the Bios, the Unraid OS could see the drives and everything is working as expected. Was afraid that the cables were too long but found that the 2.6ft length is exactly what I needed.

Ordered these to connect some U.2 NVMe drives from my controller to the backplane. Worked out of the box, no issues.

I had been having problems with other manufacturer's cables that supposedly met these cables' specs. Unfortunately, these other cables failed MISERABLY. I kept getting "Unknown Sense" error across ALL of my SAS hard drives. However, once I replaced my THIRD try, faulty cables, with these cables, ALL of my errors disappeared. Who Know, Eh? :)

This unit worked great to enable connectivity between my LSI 9300-8i and Norco 4220 backplanes. The 0.5m length was enough cable to route through from the pci-e card to the backplane connector.
