Large, Impressive, Heavy
This is not the tablet I wanted, but it's the one I got. I didn't want him to spend so much, but having done so. I am certainly not complaining, except for the arm cramps. I've had to cancel my gym membership due to my now bulging biceps and my deadly kung-fu grip. In spite of this, for the speed, the graphics, and the sound, it is worth it. The weight of the unit is added to by the case (keyboard) which seamlessly integrates with the tablet, with absolutely no issues. The only major issue I have with this tablet, is the bloatware, which can be dealt with, with mild annoyance. The 'kids mode' should be optional, as some of us do not have children, and those that do, would in my opinion need their head examined if they let a child play with a thousand dollar tablet. Not to mention the weight issue for a child, this is definitely not a child friendly device, it was clearly designed with an adult in mind. However, that said, it is a perfect tool, and I highly recommend the keyboard case for ease of use and protection. The pen attachment for the case is the biggest issue, and needs a major redesign as it can easily be knocked loose and cause the stylus to be lost, exceptional care with the stylus is needed. The storage is excellent, I am an notorious for hoarding text, and audio books, and haven't come near the devices storage capacity, and it' been a whole week since I've begun using it. (this is impressive to me) For personal, and business use, you most likely couldn't be happier to use this for your daily driver.

Very good keyboard as long as you work with it
The keyboard is very sturdy and is a good cover for the TabS4. Once you properly insert the tablet into the slot, the keyboard attaches real easy. Upon attaching the keyboard for the first time, mine went into the Dex mode automatically. Once I turned off the Dex mode, I had to manually turn it back on. In the Dex mode it will act just like a miniature laptop. The apps you open will be in Windows that are movable around the screen. Note: in order to resize a window I had to use my finger, the S-Pen just allows you to move the windows, not resize it. The keyboard is very easy to type in, even for us touch typist. When not in the Dex mode the keyboard (case), attached to the tablet, makes for a good stand, even sitting on your lap. One negative reviewer said the keyboard comes apart if you move around, you really shouldn't be moving around. If you need to go to another room or sit someplace else, close the cover and carry the unit. Once relocated, just open the cover back up, attach the keyboard and do what you want - type, watch a movie, check your email etc. As a stand, the case works best in the Landscape position. With the Portrait mode, it is challenging because you’re constantly touching the keyboard keys. As long as you're NOT in the Dex mode, touching the keys will not affect the tablet. Again, the Landscape position is the best for this case. Since the Tablet S4 is so thin and looks so fragile, having this case around it makes me feel more secure if I ever accidentally dropped it. One last tidbit, the holder for the S-Pen, that comes with this case, is OK, but the S-Pen keeps falling out when you move etc.; I wrapped a simple piece of scotch tape around the lower part of the S-Pen (about ½” up from the tip) on that area that I don't touch when I'm using the pen; that seemed to help the S-Pen stay better in the adaptive slot attached to the case.

Finally found what I needed - and more!
I have been searching and trying and returning keyboards for my Galaxy S4 tablet since I got it a year ago and FINALLY I bit the bullet and paid more for this one after dealing with magnetized boards that slid off when in use or shallow channels that allowed the tablet to flip over backwards while in use. This case/keyboard are perfect - no separate charging for the keyboard, keyboard functionality is perfect, AND the ability to connect the keyboard/tablet combo directly to my tv to completely mirror what's happening on my tablet. Now I can watch online video classes without having to sit at my desk or watch them on my tablet. I have the option to watch them full screen on my tv which is fantastic. And the picture comes from my tablet so it's crystal clear. I could not be happier!

Well worth it! Very well made and helpful!
Quite literally the perfect companion to your Tab S4. Snuggles and secures the S4 around all 4 corners, keeps all speakers clear so you can enjoy the sound, provides excellent protection in a rich, handsome finish, allows access to the Sim/SD card slot, and most importantly, HOLDS your S Pen! Typing is very, very smooth with comfortable keys. Very responsive, simply open and set, and the keyboard is automatically recognized. Drastically improved the protection, productivity, and I STILL HAVE MY S PEN! In my opinion, well worth it!

Not bad, not perfect
I dont think anyone makes a "perfect" keyboard for my S4...but this one is pretty good. I shopped and shopped..none are perfect...I like a dedicated back button, this has none..but the keyboard is very similar to my laptop so that was comforting. The keys feel a little on the cheap side, but work well..the outside of the case is upscale looking in a contemporary style...only one color available..the pen holder seems fairly well attached (could have been better)..and my S pen clicks into it securely ( must push until it clicks) The keyboard case is very thin and lightweight, not bulky at all, easy to move (i close it first to move it across the room), Fits well into my large purse...and fits in my lap well. It does not put my tablet to sleep when closed..or wake it up when opened...but my tablet goes to sleep when inactive anyway. I love the Dex mode..and this keyboard works well with that..Luckily I bought it used (in like new condition) for $40...I would not pay $149...It does seem to suck my tablet battery more than I thought it would (it uses tablet battery not its own battery). Overall, it works...I think I will always be on the lookout for the perfect case though.

Heavy duty and well built.
This cover is nice and heavy and does a great job protecting my tablet. I do not agree with those who say it does not function correctly. It turns off the display when disconnected and wakes it up when I open it and reconnect it. I personally turn off the DEX feature, as I dont need it, but you have the option of using the buit in keyboard, or the on screen display to enter text. Its great! The only anomaly is the " key and the @ keys are transposed. Otherwise, it works fine. I love it.

This a well thought out piece of kit for your Tab S4
You cannot help but be impressed at the solid, monolithic structural feel of this case and your tab S4 as they become one solid block with this cover closed. The plastic grips are perfectly sized and positioned. NOTHING shifts. It FEELS like protection. It is so well designed it adds virtually nothing to the length and width of the S4 (less than .25"), except for the pen holder, which is exceedingly handy, and at the top where it should be. The case opens up to present a keyboard which brilliantly draws power from the S4 itself through 4 perfectly positioned contacts, which means you never worry about charging your keyboard AND your tablet. The pen holder lies down parallel to the table top on the left when you fold out the keyboard. It is always shocking to see the number of misdesigned keyboards where they make the right shift key too small and then, worse yet, put some arrow key to the left of it. But THIS keyboard has got it right. To make the keyboard fit within the S4 height they had to "cheat" the total "q to p" key spacing by a half key, but you really don't notice. The tab key is a little small but right where it should be, as is the backspace key. The angle produced by the contact groove for the S4 to display I think is perfect. And I like the "power" key and the volume keys now on the "top" of the display when the S4 is folded out.

Nice case if you want to try to use a tablet for a desktop. Crappy pen holder.
First, why am I being asked to rate "battery life" and "touch screen" on a CASE??? C'mon Amazon! -2 stars for a horrible pen holder which pops off easily and leaves the pen exposed to catch on everything. This simply could not have been done worse! The case works as advertised, and I find no real problems with it other than that I don't like hard plastic keys rubbing against the screen all the time. But I doubt it does any harm. If you'll be using your tablet as a laptop, it does that pretty well. I only played with Dex a little bit, but it seems to integrate that just fine. The keyboard does not have batteries, it connects to the tablet and uses it's power. They keys are pretty good for a tablet keyboard and the few days I used it, I never had any problems with connecting or using the keyboard or pen. The pen holder sucks beyond words. It pops off easily, and leaves the pen exposed to catch on things all the time. It does protect the tip, and keeps the pen easily accessible, so if this tablet is going to live on a desk as a desktop, the other issues with it may not matter. Personally, I kept the case for those incredibly rare times I may need a keyboard/pen. But mostly I use the tablet as a tablet, which means I use my fingers, not keyboard or pen. So I got a nice little light-weight case for daily use which I'm MUCH happier with.
