Beautiful wood, excellent kit. Includes cleaning cloth, basic instruction manual (with links to videos, some easy songs, and further resources available), 3 sticker sheets for labeling the keys if you so want, a bag for all the extra goodies, plus a very sturdy carrying case for the kalimba + tuning hammer. This set is both affordable and satisfyingly complete for a beginner. I'm having a lot of fun learning and transcribing! The wood is beautiful and the instrument is good quality, especially for its price range. As for sound quality: It has a beautiful music-box sound and reverb. There are two holes in the back that can be used for some tone range and vibrato. I did notice that some of the higher keys (B5, C6, D6, E6) become hard to hear and need to be played with either more thumb-force and at the very edge of the key to sound nice. The penultimate keys on both ends (B5 and C6) don't play very cleanly, as in: I can hear some overtones and even some adjacent keys sounding when I play them. I have tried to fix this with the tuning hammer and by shifting the keys a little, but so far, there isn't a good fix. It's not a huge issue in the end, especially for what I paid. All-in-all, an amazing purchase! I'm learning a lot about modal forms and transcribing with this instrument, so I'm advancing my music knowledge with a much more portable (and affordable) instrument than a piano. This kalimba exceeded my expectations. The sound is rich and resonant, perfect for relaxation and meditation sessions. Keys are well tuned out of the box and the included hammer makes adjustments easy when needed. Build quality feels solid with smooth key action. The protective case is genuinely waterproof and compact enough for travel. Study materials are helpful for beginners, showing finger placement and basic songs to start with. Sound projects nicely without being too loud for apartment living. Keys are comfortable to play and don't leave your thumbs sore after longer sessions. It’s my first kalimba, it sounds very lovely and came in nice package. Beautiful color, nice wood, comfy case to carry it around! Looking forward to learn play it.

This is very beautiful! I got it when I saw another review play the avatar theme. It was quite easy to watch and play it. Simple to play but to get a rich sound, it takes a couple minutes of practice. After practicing, It is cool to play chords by sliding your thumb to hit 3 at a time. The case is wonderful for if you want to travel, it keeps it very padded. The back has holes that you can cover and open to make a vibrato and that is the hardest part of playing in my opinion but it sounds great! I took a star away because the middle tones sound so rich and beautiful, where the 4 most end keys are very twingy, I don’t even bother to play them so it doesnt feel like a true 17 key kalimba. I have tried adjusting them a bit, but still can’t get a rich beautiful sound like the middle tones. I would still recommend this because it was a great price and soothing.

Delivered in sealed package. Opened it and found small desiccant packet in the case with the kalimba, to absorb moisture. Kalimba is in perfect condition. It is tuned and the outer tines did sound dead or muted. Kudos to Gecko on their quality control -- 5 star

I've always admired the kalimba, but when I decided to get one for myself, Amazon was extremely daunting. I had 18 tabs open trying to pro-con each model of kalimba and eventually settled for this one because of the durable case and because the video of Remember Me that sounded so pure and beautiful. I was delighted with the extremely fast shipping, and I've barely put it down since it arrived. I would HIGHLY recommend this kalimba to ANYONE, and if you're currently indecisive like I was, I would suggest this one to you. The sound is so incredibly clear, the case is extremely protective (and this zipper is sooo smooth) and I'm extremely happy overall with my purchase. I can tell this product is going to last a long long time. Tuning it was easy and straightforward. (I recommend the Universal Tuner app) One thing I'd say is important to know is that the stickers shown on the keys (numbers and notes) do not come adhered to the kalimba as I had assumed from the picture. I don't think this is a con at all, I was able to put on the stickers exactly how I wanted them, but it's good to note that this took a fair amount of time and some intricate work with scissors to make sure they fit on right. I'm a bit worried that they'll come off, I accidentally bent the A applying it and it's looking a bit peely already, but I believe it comes with extras for each letter and number, which makes me feel way better :) All in all, if you're having trouble picking out the kalimba of your dreams, GO GECKO. Best decision I've made in a while. Smooth and beautiful with a GORGEOUS sound. Love this kalimba from the bottom of my heart already.

The courier service was good. Product arrived a few days earlier than expected and well packaged. Product looks and sounds good. End tines work. Though expect it to sound softer than the longer tines. Overall, quite happy with my first purchase from Amazon sg.

I bought this kalimba because I was intrested in getting into music and didn't want to spend loads of money on something else. For the price it sounds amazing and blew away my expectations. I have only had it for about 2 days now but I have learned a handful of simple songs in that time and the kalimba is super easy to play. Seems durable so far and the wood used looks good quality and does not feel cheap which I thought it would have. Over all I am super happy I bought it and will be using it tons more. One thing I should mention however is that the 2 highest note (the ones on the end) don't have a ring like the other do and the higest note doesn't sound the best since it doesn't resinate like the others. I haven't played anything that uses the highest notes anyways so its not to big of a deal right now but the rest of the notes sound great.

Item is well packed and received within reasonable time frame. Enjoy the instrument as tuning is not required.
