A must for jersey knits
I have been sewing for years and these are the only needles I have found that allow me to sew jersey without skipping stitches. Skipped stitches are a headache and I get SO FRUSTRATED. I don't know what makes these different from regular needles but they work for me. The threadhole is tiny and hard to get the thread through but so are many others.

fine point, sculpted shank
In today's quilting world of higher thread count fabrics, especially batik ones, these Microtex needles are superb for quilt piecing! I am totally impressed by their high polish, fine point, sculpted shank, etc. While they look delicate, they are VERY strong and pierce right through fabric, giving my fabric piecing a bit finer look! Coupled with Madiera or Aurifil thread, they really work well!

Great price on a great product
Great price on these sewing essentials. The microtex needles are so much sharper than universal needles. They are easier on fine fabrics and last longer.

Worked perfectly
I was faced with a sewing project involving a beautiful, yet evil fabric...satin. After reading every tip I could find on the subject, I realized Microtex/sharp needles were a common recommendation. They worked perfectly, keeping the fraying to a minimum and not leaving extremely obvious marks in the fabric (satin is easy to mar). I will use these for any fragile-fabric projects I encounter.
