Donald Drains the Swamp (Donald the Caveman) Review: Great book - Great book. I bought all 3. Review: Solid Economic Principles in an entertaining format for children - All the books in this series are well made and suitable for gifts. Eric Metaxes is a brilliant comedian and intellectual. He has made a series of books here that are not at all what you would expect from the cover. If you're on the liberal side of things, your knee-jerk reaction might be that this is some sort of campaign tool for the next Trump run. These books are actually very sweet, honest and funny children's stories about simple and common sense economic principles, and about using your personal skills and strengths and heart to benefit the people in your community. There are no overt references to "The Donald" himself, but for adults there are visual jokes that will go over kids' heads. These are just nice stories about finding one's place in the world and living out one's potential with everyone's best interests at heart. ENJOY!!!

Great for everyone in the family
On his radio show, Eric Metaxas has described the book as a children's book and an adult humor book. Which is correct? Both. First of all, the book is beautifully illustrated and the publisher did a great job with the printing. The colors are vibrant and the paper is high quality. When you hold the book you feel the quality--this book will last. I believe Eric wrote the book to capture audiences of all ages and he has accomplished that purpose. The writing is subtle and deep enough for adults to stop and think about the point of the book and the characters that he employs in the story line. Yet the illustrations and straightforwardness of the writing will garner the attention of children. This would be a great exercise for kids to see what layers of meaning they can pick up from the book, let alone the lessons children can learn about politics.

ExcellentO'Saurus!!!! Jobs not Mobs!
I barked out loud laughing at the biggest creature from the swamp...very witty as should be expected from one of the most engaging and hysterically funny speakers ever to command a podium. The book is perfect for kids, especially ones with parents exhibiting full blown TDS and/or giving this book 1 star. The Illustration is excellent as well... This book simplifies and distills the truth of what has been happening behind the scenes that MSM have not covered truthfully the last 2 years with their 24/7 fake news assault. (Fake News = biased reporting slanted to portray a subject in the worst possible light) The narrative on Donald has been fake news 24/7 while obfuscating the previous admins utterly corrupt weaponization of the Federal Government against it's (deplorable) citizens and candidates for office. Shock and Awe RED TSUNAMI coming November 2018 - Win BIGLY!

Donald Drains the Swamp Delivers
Confession. I bought this book hoping to win big in Eric Metaxas’ giveaway. I didn’t win as I’d hoped, but it turns out the book was worth every penny all on its own. Spoiler alert: skip to the last paragraph if you haven’t read it yet. The people of America are in big trouble. There are swamp creatures feeding off the republic, more interested in their own welfare than listening to the people. Donald shows up and digs a trench to divert the water away from the swamp. The swamp creatures are not happy, but the people are ecstatic. They ask Donald to be their king. Donald refuses, suggesting he’d rather be someone who listens to the people, not someone exercising power over them. You mean--like a president?--they ask. By highlighting the power of the people, and the true role of a president, the story restores perspective about the historical ideals of America. Using clever illustrations that suggest certain well-known ‘swamp creatures’, the tongue-in-cheek nature of the book makes its point ‘bigly’. Chuckles abound. The book resonates on many levels, and is appropriate for children, as is any enduring classic. Clever, cute and dead-on, Donald Drains the Swamp illustrates perfectly the stinky money grab of the elitists in Washington and the popular appeal of ‘caveman’ Donald. I highly recommend it. I double-dog dare you to read it even if you don’t agree politically with me.
