I wanted one for three years. Somehow the 2017 Forester has a different steering wheel. This cover fits well except because of my own fault, which I will explain later.The cover itself is of good quality. The cover fits generally well except for the notch above the middle spokes, that the cover leaves a gap. Definitely a no regret purchase. And the feel is very good, compare to the stock plastic wheel.The installation manual is good. You should read it before starting. And for sewing euro-stitches, there are a lot of YouTubes video showing the how for stitching steering wheel covers. The Euro-stitches look very nice.I do learn a thing or two.1. Don't put the adhesives on until at a later time, and only when necessary. The tape is really strong that makes adjustments very difficult2. Do the bottom first, from center and out. See my picture. I did the right side from the other end, which leave a gap there, even I tried to pull the two pieces together afterwards3. Once you have both sides stitched, you can use the pry tool that comes with the box to slightly lift the plastic silver cover. You can tuck the steering wheel cover underneath, and do your first adjustment. Push the plastic cover back in once you are done. I believe you can avoid the gap as I have shown in the picture4. For the curves where you lie your thumbs on, you may want to do it slowly. Push the cover to the wheel for every stitch you are sewing. This helps you see where the pre-sewn stitches are, so you can put the thread through the right stitch5. For the 3 - 9 o'clock spokes, I put tapes under them to help hold it, to avoid it sliding out after tucking the flaps under the plastic coverHope this helps.

On my 2017 Outback tucking the leather into the grooves was the hardest part, not recommended for those with arthritis, the stitching was the longest part. This job will test the flexibility of your neck, I also used a headlamp which was very helpful.I am happy with the result, it isn't as good as getting a leather wrapped steering wheel from the dealer (which I will opt for next time), but its close. Certainly much better than using one of those lame steering wheel covers that takes 5 minutes to put on and doesn't wrap all the way around the steering wheel.

A fantastic cover for my Subaru Outback Steering wheel which had become damaged.As I said, it is a great product which looks and feels fantastic to boot.The only downside is that it is really time consuming to put on and took several attempts to get it perfect.I would not want to go through the experience of putting it on again, but judging by the quality of the material, I doubt I will need to replace it before I replace the car.If you have patience (or someone in your household who does) then I highly recommend this product.

It is a very high quality piece of material and I wish it would have worked. The two sided tape has no chance of being enough. Maybe if you epoxied it on or took off the original. They do provide needle and thread but that would be a large commitment.

Stitch on covers are a pain to instill, mainly cause they are time consuming. This is the second stitch on cover I have installed on my car and all I have to say is wow! The look and feel is fantastic! I get compliments on it from everyone that gets into my car! Definitely worth the money. I plan to buy another one soon just so I can swap it out to keep my interior looking fresh!

Perfect fit! Real leather! Easy to put on! Made my base model plastic steering wheel look like I bought the Sport Edition. Great buy!
