OSTENT Full Repair Parts Replacement Housing Shell Case Kit Compatible for Nintendo DS Lite NDSL (White)

Product definitely does what it's supposed to, and comes with the hinges, screws, and (most of) the screw hole covers. It was missing 2 rubber screw hole cover nubs, which was a tad disappointing, but if you're buying it for yourself, and not to resell, it gets the job done very well. A bit rougher-feeling that the original NDSl casing, but I actually prefer it. Less slippy, more grippy.

Got this to house a Game Boy Macro build. Overall quality is good, however there are a few areas where there are burrs or left over material on some of the parts (notably around where the hinge sits for the triggers). Managed to clean up and works fine.

(pink case) Beyond useless as the case is missing the spring hold for one of the shoulder buttons as pictured (missing section circled in blue / correct bits circled in red) In the end I had to cut one out of the old shell and glue it into the pink which probably retains less than 10% function Waste of money !!!

Didn't get any joy installing this on a Ds lite. If you're an expert at doing these things then this is ideal for you

I've fitted several of these and this one is one of the best quality options on the market for the price. Easy to switch the parts over from the old case to the new one.

Did not come with hinge pin. Looks like everything else is there. Some edges need removing on buttons to make them fit but nothing I cant do with an exact knife. Overall next time I'll probably choose a different brand.

Really poorly made case. Shoulder buttons does not work when the case is fully assembled. Don't waste your money and time on this.

The blue is ever so slightly lighter in color than the OEM cobalt blue but trust me when I say this. That's an absolute plus. Even pictures can't do this metallic blue justice. It's so gorgeous it just needs to be beheld by the naked eye. The glossy finish on the top outer frame is a fingerprint magnet, but that's on par with the OEM shell. The rest of the frame is a matte black which looks very close to stock. The assembly experience is very good. There are some minor differences in cutouts and insignificant differences in the markings on the inside of the shell but these are invisible once you have the console assembled. I have two minor complaints and that is the battery door should have the screw and c-clip pre-installed and the slit for the top display ribbon cable could be a little bit wider - it's a tighter fit than the OEM shell. There is some extra flashing on some of the buttons which can cause an issue with fitment and actuation if you don't trim it off. This is my second shell from Ostent and I've been pleased with the quality so far.
