Subnautica (Xbox One)

This game is one of the best survival games out there not badly priced either the attention to detail and graphics it offers aswell as performance is very good its one of my go to games.

Having watched streamers like Jacksepticeye play the game throughout its development stage and through the final game, I have always wanted to try it out for myself. Finally I was able to purchase the game to share with my younger brother on his Xbox. The game itself runs smoothly with the ocasional glitch from area transitions, such as when surfacing above water with the Sea Glide or when entering a new zone underwater. It is heavily reliant on consistent farming for materials for you to craft and upgrade needed equipment for a better deep water exploration. As someone who doesn't play games like this very often, I find the controls can be a little overwhelming to figure out at first - especially when being pursued by a large sea creature - but after playing for a length of time the movement becomes much more fluid. I would also point out that if your a gamer who isn't keen on survival games, a game where you constantly have to keep an eye on your characters stats such as hunger, thirst and oxygen, then this option can be adjusted to a mode better suited to the gameplay you prefer to have instead. Overall, a lovely game with beautiful, imaginative graphics that leave you in awe when played with no previous knowledge of what the game holds, a stunning audio soundtrack which servers to create a wonderful atmosphere as you explore around and serves to bring each unique creature to life that little bit more.

I originally tried this as an Xbox game pass quest, expecting not to like it, but it's now a firm favourite. Very atmospheric and brilliantly done. Repeat play is ok, but you'll never recreate the emotional experience of first play. There are a lot of guides for if you can't find stuff, but my advice is unless you are REALLY lost don't do it - just spend weeks floating around out there experiencing new things for yourself rather than losing the impact by seeing it on somebody else's stream. Enjoy :)

I've only played a handful of survival/exploration types, but I can tell you this is streaks better than Astroneer because there's barely any grind to it! The requirements for each new item are relatively small, it's fairly intuitive to play, and there's a fantastic array of decor and little mechanical touches that make this so enjoyable! The views are spectacular, and the atmosphere of the game is pretty tranquil and stress-free (if you don't go out of your depth ;) ); the music really adds to that vibe - not repetitive or annoying like others. I notice some review are on behalf of kids, but it's by no means just a kid's game - I'm late 20s and love it (and actually I doubt they'd appreciate the details in audio logs and extra story). Took me around 80 hours to 'finish' in survival, but you could probably do it comfortably in 50, and you can reload it just before the end to keep playing. There were a few minor glitches (e.g. fish swimming through the base, deleted screenshots reappearing). Be prepared - the initial game load time is long, but after that, you'll have no delays. There's also no auto- or multiple saves, but as someone that usually relies heavily on that, it didn't even bother me. The sheer unexpected pleasure I got out of this game from start to finish far outweighs the niggles for 5 stars.

This game has the most incredible story, great mechanics, and it has a fair share of humour. This game is not free of bugs, but the do not affect the player’s enjoyment of the game whatsoever. I would highly recommend this game to anyone.

My children love this game and have a lot of fun exploring and chasing fish! I’ve even played myself!

Quite basic graphically and the draw distance is infuriating until you realise it's intentional (mountains pop into existence from nothing). However, it's a great little game - different, engaging and completely the right length.

I feel I have to update my review, while the constant pressure of having to find water and food at an unrealistic pace is quite annoying it is surpassed by the beauty and sheer imagination that has gone into this game, few games in my life have made my jaw drop like this one has. Definitely worth a go, and apologise for my original review being too harsh. Would have given 5 stars but as I said the food and water issue is an annoyance, but you don't have to play survival mode.

I am happy with this game as it arrived quickly and in good condition.

Este juego es entretenido i va a gustarle a toda la gente a la que le interese, el disco a llegado a la perfección, i la caja del mismo muy bien embalada, lo recomiendo.
