Happy Feet has happy dancing sneakers!!
These are very good quality, a lot of sole cushioning with gel in the heel, comfortable and enables good turning on the dance floor. Unlike another pair I had, I didn't find them to be too slippery on a wooden dance floor. I think these are better quality than a previous Danskin sneaker. I wear them for Bhangra ( lots of turning, jumping, impact) and Zumba type dance (lots of sliding). I have worn dance sneakers for all kinds of dance for years and am almost 60, and still going strong. I'd recommend good dance sneakers over regular sneakers if you plan to keep on truckin' with your dancing to protect your knees, hips and other joints if you're doing impact or slides and turns in your dancing. They would work well for most dancing, I also do a lot of other styles, for instance salsa, jazz, any aerobics. I reserve them for dancing to not rough up the soles, though there was a time I had patella knee issues and strangely, the only shoes I could tolerate walking were dance sneakers. I'm not into pink much, but it is a light pink and I wanted to try something besides black. I wish they had more color choices. I wear a size 6 in street shoes, and ordered these in 7.5, my big toe touches the front and I have wide feet and sides of my feet snug, but that part of the shoe is leather and stretches with use so are comfortable. They do run small. I think an 8 would have been too big for the rest of my foot. The sizing is whack!

A must for teaching
I teach ballet and these save me on long days. I can’t teach beginning classes in them because I can’t show full foot articulation…however for all my other classes these are a must. My feet no longer hurt after long teaching days. I followed the size guide on Amazon and they fit perfect.

Then they were very comfortable, super light weight and breathable
The only reason I didn't give these shoes 5 stars is because, A. - I read many other reviews first which said you had to order 1 1/2 to 2 sizes up from your regular size, and B. - They fit slightly narrow in the toe box for me.If I hadn't read the reviews about sizing first I would have most definitely bought the wrong size. I wear a ladies size 8.5 (US) and bought a 10. They fit well. The toe box is a little narrow for me, so I put a shoe stretcher in a day before my dance class to widen them out. Then they were very comfortable, super light weight and breathable. I have very high arches and the shoes gave me good foot support, but they provide 0 ankle support. This style of dance shoe seem to be built exactly the same way as some of the other brands such as Capezio, so I don't think there is that much difference in comfort or fit. All in all, after the tweaks I like the shoes and will continue to wear them for dance.

The whole sole got disassembled and it pieces at the 3rd day of wear
The media could not be loaded. The whole sole got disassembled and it pieces at the 3rd day of wear :As you can see in the pictures of my Bloch purchase at Amazon, the sole got disassembled beyond possibilities of simple repair. Even if it had been able to be repaired, I didn’t buy a shoe (that costs more than $80 when brand new) to have to fix it the 3rd time I wear it.To be fair, I love Bloch dance sneakers for dance related activities and I wear this brand since I was a child for modern (ballet root) dance and jazz classes. It seems this particular pair was defective when shipped and possibly didn’t go thru a proper quality assurance criteria. Or maybe it was made in China in a temperature different from my state and the material couldn’t handle our weather. I don’t know the reason. The soles just got dismantled in a very short time: it was the 3rd time I wore it (to a dance class).I have it in different colors (black, blue, pink, camo, brown/blavk, etc.) so I know from what store I bought each pair and when it’s time to buy a new pair again (the shoes may get worn out after a while). Because I have many pairs, I wear them alternating colors, so they last longer. I do that also because it’s important to give each pair a rest (just like it happens to sports shoes). But… this one didn’t last not even half a year, instead, it lasted 3 dance classes wearing it. I want a refund or an exchange, if possible, so as to avoid shipping costs and trip to the UPS store or, worst case scenario, if that is not possible, I’ll send it back for a refund.

Sizing Has Been Changed!
Bloch's Boost DRT review: I have owned two pairs; one in black (as this new pair ordered) and previously a pair in beige "pink" color. They were both good on my feet, walking miles in retail stores for my job. I followed the Amazon sizing suggestion and ordered a size 10 - as before.I usually wear a 9 1/2 sneaker; I tried one shoe on and found my big toe was crowded up against the end of the shoe.Very disappointing. Why would a successful dance shoe company change the sizing in their shoe??

Perfect for Zumba
I bought these shoes because I started doing Zumba over 6 months ago and have just been wearing my New Balance. I wore the Blochs for the first time to class tonight and I'm in love. They are so lightweight they made it feel like my old shoes were bricks. I don't worry about twisting my knees or ankles I can just dance. The sizing is a little tricky. I first ordered the 7.5 and I loved the way they hugged my feet, but my left toe was touching the plastic toe of the shoe so I sent them back and got the 8. There is plenty of room now for my left toe, but they almost feel too big everywhere else. I guess I'm a 7.75, still not sure if I have the right size. For dancing I like my shoes tight on my feet so I can feel the floor and my foot isn't moving around in the shoe. But with all the jumping around in Zumba I didn't want my toe constantly getting smashed. Also I love the Blochs, much better quality shoe than the Capezio. I've bought other types of Capezio shoes before because they were cheaper, but they messed up my feet and totally weren't worth the problems. It's worth spending a little extra to get the Blochs and have a great shoe and no problems with your feet.

Comfy but runs small
These are great dance shoes. Comfortable with good support but run very small. You really do need to order 2 sizes up. I’m an 8 and had to exchange up to a 10.
