WOW! The precision on these it out of this world! Made in Japan.
These are very great. I have some old Tsunoda pliers that have been great. I needed some linesman pliers for my traveling tool kit so I decided to give these a try. Perfect for my need.I compare these to my 29-year old Klein pliers that were purchased new for me by my boss back when i was a kid. Although these Tsunoda's are not as heavy duty, you cant use them as a hammer in a pinch :), you shouldnt anyways but you know sometimes you just gotta, they are much lighter to carry around. These have an awesome bite at the tip of the jaws. Excellent quality.Lastly it is laser etched "Made in Japan". I really wish the labeling on the tool was more permanent, cast in place for example, but its only laser etched. If you get some light rust there, you wont know the brand name or origin. But excellent tool otherwise. I do love the handles. I wear a size large in gloves.

Quality linesman's pliers, period.
Linesman's pliers are the original multi-tool, and these are exceptional, at any price--let alone for $25. Note: I am not an electrician by trade.Let's get this out of the way: I can't fathom the decision for this color scheme. The light blue handles get grimey if you so much as look at them wrong, but the grips are comfortable. There's zero torsional wiggle in the handles. They were a little stiff to open at first, but a zap of #40 and quick excersize routine has them perfect. They open freely now, with a nice, increasing cam-like tension as you get to full open.Machined edges are precise and broken enough to where you won't slice a finger open. I found 2 very small burrs at the tips--one pass with a file took them both out.In light use so far, the teeth grip wonderfully. The cutters are sharp and cut through coat hanger wire as good, if not better, than my Channel Lock cutters. I haven't used the crimper yet, but it's a feature I needed for some projects with aircraft cables.I haven't had to use them as a hammer yet either, but I have no doubt they could do in a pinch. In sum, these are great pliers to have in the shop. I'd never heard of Tsunoda before a PF review of slip-joint pliers, but these left me impressed. I'll be checking their lineup the next time I need a quality hand tool. The price is almost a steal for the quality and craftsmanship you get.

Too stiff
All japanese-made and not spring loaded pliers are stiff, requiring some effort to open. These ones were stiffer than usual. Come on guys, you can do better!

Favorite combo pliers
These combo pliers are a wiremans Dream. The most comfortable handles of any tool I’ve used. Sharp blades and super high quality. The crimp function is a bonus. These are better than the Fujiya combo pliers and I own both. These are my main tool for termination jobs. Highly recommended.
